As the population density increases in Mega cities, the land availability for home construction reduces and an effective utilisation of small spaces would become important. Innovative solutions for these living spaces would be a good value add. #construction #homeautomation #livingspace #home https://lnkd.in/gpz62EnQ

💡 Going Back to the Future: Transforming One-Way Streets💡 Check out my latest episode of Inspired Infrastructure: 📽 on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/g66JySJU 🌐 or at: inspiredinfrastructure.com As an urban street designer, I've worked on many projects across the country where I've evaluated transforming one-way pairs back to two-way traffic as part of an overall safety improvement. In this latest episode, I talk about why these one-way pairs became so common in dense urban areas and highlight the benefits of converting these streets back to bidirectional traffic using #BeyondTypicals. Does your city have one-way pairs like this? Share in the comments—your city might be featured in a future episode! #UrbanPlanning #CompleteStreets #TrafficSafety #StreetDesign #Transportation #InspiredInfrastructure Beyond CAD Inc. Access is a key part of our considerations for buildings & public space and it is not overlooked by planners, but nonetheless I agree with Lisa. We think also about pram users etc, and those with specific sensory and movement needs to make sure the built environment can function for all. https://lnkd.in/gXKuWDgf

People are always curious about what goes into major real estate developments. Although this is old, it’s still a great resource/reference point. There’s a lot to be absorbed from this deck in terms of high level considerations, especially the appendix. Its often seldom to have an opportunity to openly discuss the details of any transaction, much less share the actual materials used, so any student interested in real estate should scour this deck.
How often do you see a pitch deck for a $1.6 billion development? Here's SL Green's original One Vanderbilt pitch from 2016. SL Green delivered the building into the teeth of COVID and WFH. How do you think SLG's expectations matched reality? Stay tuned to find out. The following sections are particularly interesting/unique: -- New vs. old NYC building amenities (starts on slide 12) -- Construction budget (35) -- Observation deck info (46) -- Full development pro forma (76) #creanalyst #realestatedevelopment #onevanderbilt

Did you know? Some modern structures are like icebergs – a significant part hides below ground! 🔄 Maximizing Space: Going deep below ground allows for more functional space without compromising the city skyline. 🌿 Energy Efficiency: Underground structures benefit from natural insulation, reducing the need for excessive heating or cooling. #IcebergBuildings #HiddenArchitecture #EfficiencyBelowSurface #CommercialConstruction
