⌛ How can we streamline comissioning and shorten the time spent on it?⌛ Today is your last chance to see Vincent Verschuure and Navjeet Birdi at the Smart Buildings Show London, where they will tell you in detail about our new bGrid Smart Comfort Controller (BSCC). Our BSCC allows installers to achieve faster, budget-friendly and better quality re-adjustments with smart valves, resulting in improved comfort and energy performance for building owners and users. This device is a unique integration of hardware, software and data analysis that uses the well-known bGrid smart infrastructure. This is an open and modular platform that approaches the building like a smartphone: it links and integrates various building systems and applications and it is continuously updated with new features. Developed based on changing market and user requirements to be flexible, durable and future-proof. Curious how we put this into practice? The smart home stores the temperature in degrees Celsius (°C) in a variable. The temperature control system turns on the air-conditioning when the temperature is greater than 30 °C. What will this code output? temp = 35 ac_on = temp > 30 print(ac_on) result: True reason: Because the variable temp is assigned a value of 35, which is greater than 30. As a result, the expression temp > 30 evaluates to True, indicating that the air-conditioning should be turned on.

How are federally funded charging stations living up to reliability requirements? Well... mostly. Overall, the first 48 sites energized on or before 12/31/24 posted port uptime of 97.2% during daily sweeps in January, just above the required 97%. However, things get interesting down at the site level, where just a handful of stations drag down those with a 100% record. Here are the numbers: 💯 30 locations (63%) posted a perfect daily uptime score, with no ports recorded offline when logged on any individual day. ✅ 42 locations (88%) succeeded in maintaining daily port uptime at or above 97%. Assuming no outages in the intervening period, these sites all met NEVI requirements throughout January. 🔧 Of the remaining six sites, two scored reasonably at 96% and 94%, respectively. Multi-day port outages at these sites in Texas and Ohio pulled their score down, but both returned to days of 100% availability once the issue was addressed. 🚨 The remaining four sites, located in Hawai'i, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, proved to be the major drag factor on NEVI reliability in January, with availability scores ranging from 67% to 77%. 🔍 In most of these underperforming cases, an individual port or dispenser is responsible and the issue remains as we enter February. This potentially indicates a delay in sourcing a critical part or expertise to diagnose a deeper technical issue, rather than any sitewide concerns. ⛔ Despite the troubles dogging these locations, only one station in Pennsylvania posted days in January with no ports available. On those two days completely offline, this location had at least two ports back online within 24 hours. Having visited a few NEVI sites this month, my IONIQ 5 has benefited from the program, brought new business to the likes of Love's Travel Stops in Pennsylvania + Mirabito in New York, and has only experienced the sites with 100% success records, so far. As and when data submitted via EV-ChART becomes available from the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation, it will be interesting to see how what charging vendors report stacks up with third-party sources. #evcharging #chargerreliability #NEVI

100 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - FAQ 59. Is it compulsory to charge the full battery during the journey? It's not compulsory that you should do the full charging at one time itself but it's always better to complete your full charge at one stretch itself when you are charging from your residence because you can enjoy your trip further without any charging hindrances for a considerable distance and that too more economically. Normally it takes very less time to get 80% charged and it's also advisable to do so in the middle of your trips for saving your precious time on the way rather than trying for a full charge. If you have enough charge to reach your house which has a proper charging facility, then the best option is to avoid charging on the way. It's always better to charge your electric vehicle by using home chargers because the life of batteries will be much more while charging in AC current used in residences than DC charging in public charging stations. Moreover, it's more economical to use home chargers for charging where the charging expenses can be very less and paid along with normal electricity charges which happens once in two months normally. Apart from the life of the batteries, the charging expenses will be much more in public charging stations. There is no need of tension to fully recharge your batteries, Even a minimum recharge to reach your house can also be done. read more - https://lnkd.in/g8nZG46f

A smart fire safety sensor called Ting, utilized by State Farm, received a software update in February. It allowed the plug-in devices to detect total harmonic distortion, granting granular insight into power quality on grids across the country. Whisker Labs made an unexpected discovery- dirty power in some particularly constrained areas could be costing ratepayers money and shortening the lifespan of their appliances. https://lnkd.in/gG_pCRGn
