Topic : "Common Coaching pitfalls and how to overcome them!" “I want to make a positive difference in someone’s life” This seems to be a common refrain for most coaches to have taken to this profession. While the motivation seems innocuous on the face of it; the journey from ‘becoming’ a coach and ‘being’ a coach is fraught with its share of trials and tribulations. It is easy for coaches - both newbies and seasoned ones - to get waylaid by SIX major pitfalls, as they set out to manifest their noble intentions. Come, discover the common (often obvious) pitfalls as a coach…and how not to succumb to them… What you will learn: * The six main slippery slopes as a coach * How to remain vigilant along the path * How to bounce back every time you slip * How to leap back to regaining your coaching poise Join us for a conversation with Yatish Chandrasekhar ICF-PCC, on 28th Aug'24, Wednesday at 4.30 PM IST. Inspirational Speaker - Trainer - Coach- Consultant - I specialise in Unlocking Individuals, Teams & Organisations by Raising Self Awareness, Promoting Personal Responsibility & Delivering a #Change4Good 💙💡💙
No nonsense coaching Thats what David Bone signed up for and thats what he is getting Yes I know some coaches will sit there and try to get you to fix your own problems Not me.. You tell me where you are and what you want Through discussions ill kindly but honestly tell you why you are not getting what you want Ill then say are you ready to get s**t done? You say yes and off we go... We will brain storm using my Think it - Say it - Do it model 💙💡💙 This will then create a simple no nonsense plan that you can get straight into 💡The thinking is done 💡The talking is done 💡Its now all about ACTION When we come back I ask? "So what have you been doing?" If you the answer is that you didn't get into action, I'm going to simply say Sir/Madame, you are wasting your money and my time This may be blunt but its true, and maybe the no nonsense response you need If you got into action you get a big well done and we go again... My sessions will give YOU a foundation to drive forward I'm not going to hold you into a 6, 9 or 12 month coaching contract If i cant get you moving into action within 6 sessions your either not ready or I'm just s**t 💙😉💙 If you're ready & willing please get in touch & remember Think it - Say it- Do it #TISIDI #Change4Good #PersonalDevelopment #LeadershipDevelopment

Recently I spoke to a coach who wanted to start working with us, but had a concern. That concern was specifically about the fact that he wasn't sure who his ideal client is. In fact, he wasn't even sure what sector they work in. All he knew was that he wants to work with 'corporates'. Let me reassure anyone who has this concern. You don't need to know who you want to work with. If you have an idea, that's great, but it's OUR job to help you define your client, not yours to come with your client defined. In fact, all you need to bring to the party is a determination to make this work. You need to be a coach who is going to do everything necessary to succeed. That determination needs to include the willingness to take the actions you agree with your mentor at the end of every mentoring session. (All of them, not just your favourites!) You'll always have a clear list of what you need to do and exactly how to do it - actually doing it is your job. Are you up to that job? If so, let's talk? Reflecting on my years of coaching, one profound lesson stands out: the significance of creating a safe space for both coach and coachee. 🌟 - Building this sanctuary is a joint venture in coaching: It's not solely the coach's responsibility; both parties must actively contribute. Without mutual alignment, progress may falter despite the coach's best efforts. - Safety is a two-way street: As coaches, we need to also feel secure. This reciprocity is vital for effective guidance and challenge. Authenticity and trust thrive in an environment where both parties feel nurtured and empowered. How can we otherwise dare to ask certain questions if the lack of clarity makes us afraid of how they will be perceived? Coaching is a partnership rooted in mutual respect and vulnerability. Embracing this truth enriches our journey and fosters meaningful growth. This is what, for me, means to build a relationship of equals.💼✨ #CoachingJourney #SafeSpace #MutualGrowth

Reflective practice is “a dialogue of thinking and doing through which I become more skillful.” - Donald A. Schön How often do we truly stop to examine the impact of our choices and behaviours? Self-reflection is not a luxury; it’s a necessity for greatness. Awareness sharpens our understanding of personal strengths and blind spots. Reflection isn’t just about looking back; it’s the key to moving forward, stronger and more resilient than ever. Only a few spots remain for our next BCA Coaching Supervision starting in October.
