Genocide Olympics': Paris police investigating antisemitism at Israel-Paraguay soccer match We will always have Paris…however that’s by now more like an ominous whisper than a tender promise The three values of olympism are EXCELLENCE, RESPECT and FRIENDSHIP . They constitute the foundation on which the olympic movement builds its activities to promote sport, culture and education with a view to building a better world. - Striving for EXCELLENCE and encouraging people to be the best they can be. - Demonstrating RESPECT in many different manners: respect towards yourself, the rules, your opponents, the environment, the public, etc. - Celebrating FRIENDSHIP , which is quite unique to the Olympic Games – an event that brings people together every few years. IN Paris 2024 some athletes and spectators are trampling on and trashing the Olympic values without one blink of an eye if it comes to the Israeli Olympic Team. They are cheating in order to avoid competing against an Israeli athlete, they ignore basic respect and decency by refusing a handshake with an Israeli athlete, spectators acting like a mob are booing the national anthem of Israel and clearly are showing political slogans and antisemitic slurs against the Israeli team and their supporters. These things are happening ALL THE TIME. Now did we hear a statement, a condemnation, a warning by the IOC or the IOC President Thomas Bach? No. The silence against such violations of the Olympic values is deafening. Will we get to see any consequences by the Olympic Committee for such a blatant violation of all Olympic values or shall we all agree that these are ridiculous remainders, scraps of the Olympic Ghost of the past and we are back to morals and behaviour like Neanderthals. Let’s agree on one principle: either are these Olympic values all encompassing and valid for EVERYONE and EVERY NATION- including ISRAEL or they aren’t valid AT ALL. It’s either or. Black or white. The other face of The Olympic Games place of protests and political agenda. Britannica Apparantly the whole world can compete and should be a show of world unity. Well not all countries can compete, besides the ones banned. There are countries that don't support their athletes, because either, they can't, or don't want to. Also the cost of going to the Olympics, is not given, mainly for developing countries. The competitions, at least before, where mainly disputed by the powers that are, showing their extensive delegations, and high caliber athletes, the typical USA/RUSSIA (not present 2024), others. So, it is not really world participation, and of course, sports has become a current business transaction.

Vladimir Putin will score 'propaganda victory' if Russian permitted to compete at Olympics Allowing Russian and Belarusian competitors to take part in the Paris Olympics under a neutral flag would hand Vladimir Putin a win in the propaganda game, British Members of Parliament were warned. "Any involvement of Russian and Belarusian athletes at the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games under a neutral flag is a backwards step and propaganda victory for Putin," Alex Sobel cautioned. In his plea to fellow MPs to reject the proposal, Mr Sobel who serves as co-chair of the Ukraine All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) also highlighted that "more than 400 Ukrainian athletes are believed to have been killed on the battlefield since the full-scale invasion". This rallying cry to MPs comes on the heels of a reported volte-face by the government on its previous stance of outright banning Russian athletes from competing, even under a neutral banner. Stuart Andrew, the UK Sports Minister, has drafted a letter to Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), signalling the UK's readiness to back the entry of Russian and Belarusian sportspeople as 'neutrals' in the upcoming summer Games. "Reports suggesting that the UK Government has advocated for the inclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes under a neutral banner deeply trouble us," Mr Sobel expressed further dismay in his letter. He asserts that this allowance would jeopardise the games' integrity and send an incorrect signal amidst the ongoing aggression towards Ukraine. Continuing, Sobel insisted on the need to exert pressure and uphold principles of justice and solidarity, even within sport. Alex Rennie, Co-Director of the UK Friends of Ukraine organisation, said: "A weakening of position from the UK Government, one of the strongest allies of Ukraine, could lead to international federations softening the position on Russian and Belarusian athletes competing in France this summer." APPG committee chairman Bob Seely didn't hold back on his own assessment: "This just a way around the ban and I think it's pretty contemptible." "The idea that sports is irrelevant to warfare is nonsense, it is actually important to Russia. Paris Olympics - yet another western hypocrisy of olympian proportion and the silence of the Muslim nations. France has banned its own athletes from wearing head scarves during the Olympics. When the 2024 Olympics start this week, France won't allow its athletes to wear headscarves during the games – in contrast with the Olympic charter's calls for respect of religion and protection of human rights. Yet IOC - International Olympics Committee, and, OIC - Organisation of Islamic Countries took no action against this discrimination and violation of Olympics charter. The Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, a grouping that includes member countries of the OIC merely condemned this. No tangible action followed from the OIC or any of its member countries. Neither did OIC use this opportunity to boycott sending their member nations' women athletes in protest and solidarity and support of French Muslim athletes, nor did any nation on its own conscience took such an action. So much for inclusion and all the empty rhetoric championing the cause of women!!! The travesty is that 3 Afghan women athletes (residing outside Afghanistan) will be allowed to participate in Olympics despite Taliban regimes ban on women participation from Afghanistan. In a similar absurdity, while Russia is banned from sending its official contestants to Olympics (Russia trying to defend its border from NATO is an alleged aggressor in war with Ukraine, hence being punished, while individual Russian athletes may be allowed in neutral flag, but won't be in medal tally), but Israel is allowed despite protests from several countries. Western hypocrisy is now there for all to see in all domain. They have scaled the new hights of hubris, infamy and superciliousness.

As a former world-class athlete, I am deeply concerned by the double standards in international sports. It is disheartening to see the Russian federation banned from the Olympics for the Ukraine invasion, while the Israeli federation remains represented. If crimes against humanity are not addressed equally, it reveals a troubling bias in the justice system, threatening the rights and privileges of all. Moreover, I believe many international sports federations have failed Palestinian athletes. Wildcard positions should prioritize countries in need, showing solidarity and setting examples of peace. Instead, Palestinians are often silenced or denied opportunities to compete. The French Olympic Committee cited the ban on wearing a traditional element of clothing during sporting events," the report says. ⚽ ARGENTINA 1978 : DICTATORSHIP, HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION AND FAVOURITISM 🌏 The 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina remains one of the most controversial tournaments in football history. Those who opposed the dictatorship faced dire consequences. The term "los desaparecidos" refers to the thousands who were forcibly disappeared by the government. Many of these individuals were detained, tortured, and killed in clandestine detention centres, leaving their families without answers or closure. At the time, the world was embroiled in the Cold War, a geopolitical struggle between the USA and the Soviet Union. This backdrop fuelled fears of left-wing governments, leading to support from the United States for right-wing dictatorships like Videla's. The presence of leftist Cuba in Latin America further intensified this tension. The World Cup itself was rife with accusations of favouritism towards Argentina: ● They had the advantage of playing their matches at night, knowing the results of their competitors ● There were allegations of biased refereeing during Argentina's match against France where penalties favouring France were not awarded ● In the final, the original referee, Abraham Klein from Israel, was replaced by an Italian referee due to concerns about bias linked to Israel's relationship with the Netherlands, despite Italy's close ties with Argentina The most controversial match of the tournament was Argentina's game against Peru. Needing to win by at least 4 goals to reach the final, Argentina won 6-0, leading to suspicions of match-fixing. Videla visited the Peruvian changing room before the game, accompanied by former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, adding to the speculation. The year before the World Cup, over 5,000 Argentinians disappeared. The final was held at River Plate’s stadium, just a mile away from a concentration camp where left-wing dissidents were held. Many other dissidents were thrown into the sea from planes. Despite discussions of a boycott by other nations, the World Cup proceeded. The 1978 World Cup served as a cover for Argentina's government to conceal its atrocities, making it one of the most blatant examples of political manipulation in sports history.
