When Israeli athletes are banned from competing in the World Indoor Bowls Tournament, taking place in the UK, we really need to start questioning the inverted morality and application of a penal code to athletes whose country has recently suffered one of the most vicious terror attacks in history. A statement from the World Bowls Tour said: "This decision was not taken lightly and has been made in the best interests of the event's success and integrity.“ “Integrity”, you say? I beg to differ. Let’s recap: Who is the UK’s ally? Oh, that’s right. Israel. The only democracy in the Middle East, the only Jewish State in the world, that constantly yearns for peace with her neighbours yet is constantly being attacked and forced to fight wars she didn’t start with neighbours who are constantly attacking her. Yet actions are continually allowed to take place on British soil that align not with Israel, its ally, but with genocidal terrorist groups. Here’s the thing: If you are NOT standing with your ally, and have chosen the opposite stance, this means you have chosen to align yourself with Hamas, an Iranian proxy terrorist group - who I would like to remind you hates other Western democracies almost as much as it hates Israel. Every value modern Britain stands for - free speech, democracy, civil liberties, feminism, gay rights - is hated by Hamas. Allowing protests aka hate marches on British soil - and now bowing under pressure to cancel Israel athletes - is a shocking way to treat an ally. But hey - that’s who you want to align yourselves with? Jihadis and intifada and all the rest of it? Good luck with that. Once this war is over, we will remember who stood by us and who didn’t. N.B Shout out to MP Rupert Lowe MP for calling out this disgusting behaviour for what it is. It’s just a shame that other members of authority couldn’t see fit to overcome the pressure of anti-Semitic groups. Pathetic and disturbing.

The U.K. did not ban Israeli athletes, it was the World Bowls Tour, and the British government spoke out against the bans which have now been rescinded. So the statement “The UK has taken it upon itself to ban Israeli athletes from competing in the World Indoor Bowls Tournament” was factually incorrect.
