⭕There's hardly anything worse for company morale than leaders who practice the "Do as I say, not as I do"philosophy. When this happens, you can almost see the loss of enthusiasm and goodwill among the staff. It's like watching the air go out of a balloon – and cynicism and disappointment usually take its place. 🧑💼No matter what the situation is, double standards – witnessing people say one thing, and then doing another – always feel like a betrayal. They can be very destructive. If this ever happened to you, you can probably remember that sense of disappointment and letdown. 🧑💼If you're in a leadership position, then you know that you have a responsibility to your team. They look to you for guidance and strength; that's part of what being a leader is. And a big part of your responsibility is to lead them with your own actions. So, why is it so important to lead by example; and what happens when you don't? 📽️ Watch our YouTube Video: https://lnkd.in/ekJhMwxH #leadingbyexample #leadership #sfbs #leadershiptraining #sanfranciscobusinessschool

💥 Winning at the highest level requires LOSING over and over again with an unwavering faith and commitment. Everyone see's peoples accomplishments in the light but nobody sees the hard work and persistence that happens in the dark. Leading a winning team requires a certain level of leadership with each person, not a title that is given to you.

Try this As a leader, pay more attention to giving compliments than scolding your team members. Assist your team without pride, and have a detailed plan on how you can reward your workers for a job done well. Encourage awards and bonuses and make sure you develop a personal relationship with your workers.

As you ease into the weekend, think back over the week on your successes and areas for improvement (I wish I would have done that differently). What decisions did you take command of and should/could you have allowed others to make the decision and give intent? Leading and developing others requires giving up control and trusting your team. #leadershipcoaching #leadershipdevelopment #bravozulusolutions www.bravozulu.solutions L. David Marquet

As I share with people more often than I care to admit, in my 35 years of professional work, it has been a rare and wonderful thing to be working on a team that is aligned with each other and with a common vision. Establishing team alignment is more than just agreeing on direction and getting along, as our Trina Hamilton, M.Ed, CPCC, ACC writes in her latest blog: https://lnkd.in/g-NMGgYV
