Another day to refine my skill set. I love malware analysis because it's analogous to solving puzzles based on patterning one's curiosity. Today, I understood and read the different headers in a Portable Executable(PE) file. Interestingly, some malware files are anti-analysis; these are packed PE files that are obfuscated to prevent static analysis. Further, I used the information from PE headers to identify packed PE files and analyzed the sample malware statically. I am on my next level, 1% better today.
