At One Warm Coat, we’re all about making a difference—lean, virtual, and sustainability-focused. “Share the Warmth Day” is our annual effort to get coats to those who need them most, and we’d love your help to make it even bigger this year. As you are heading in the weekend, I’d like you to think about asking your company to sponsor this incredible day. Why it matters: • $1 = 1 warm coat: Every dollar you give goes straight to keeping someone warm. • Keep it green: Last year, we kept over 1 million pounds of textiles out of landfills. That’s huge! • Build community: It’s a great way to show your brand’s commitment to giving back and rally your team around a cause that truly matters. Let’s make this “Share the Warmth Day” the best one yet. Reach out to see how your company can get involved! Thanks for your support! #ShareTheWarmth #Sustainability #CommunityImpact #OneWarmCoat

Researcher. Designer. Evaluator. Facilitator. Dreamer. Specializing in Inclusive/Accessible/Universal Design for All + User Experience Design
"Since the 90s, I have worked to address the lack of accessible housing and advocate for the development of more. My work runs from affordable housing projects to bespoke high-end private residences such as barrier-free apartments, garden suites for aging-in-place, multi-generational congregate communities, and single homes. I do design, user and stakeholder engagement, project facilitation and management, post-occupancy evaluations, design manuals, and sit on technical and research committees. Why do I do this? Because housing is a basic human need; having housing that works for inhabitants is imperative. Humans have complex relationships with our homes and we cultivate what we need from them technically, functionally, culturally and psychosocially. We know HOW our housing can be accessible. Right now, I am dedicated to identify and address barriers to implementing this information. So that Canada can actually be more accessible." #EveryoneEverywhere #AccessibleHousing #CodeHarmonization #dignity
What are the biggest barriers to accessible housing, and how do community attitudes and policies play a role? Join us tomorrow for a panel discussion on Accessible Housing! Details: Date: Tuesday, September 24, 2024 Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET Mode: Virtual via Zoom This is a discussion you won't want to miss. Are you ready to be part of the solution?
