While the approach of connecting organisational strategy to a portfolio of programs / projects seems fairly straightforward , our experience with large enterprises shows that it requires the right mix of data driven culture ( driven by top leaders ) and technology [e.g. solutions like Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) ] to keep the “strategy- plans-execution” tightly aligned across functions and teams .
