This is the age of connectivity. We are all connected via social media. Not only us, even poor machines are connected against their will to each other and to the web. This makes it easier for us to control them and for them to communicate with us. But this also makes our critical infrastructure vulnerable to cyberattacks. Can Artificial Intelligence help? In this paper, we compared the performance of different AI models in detecting cyberattacks on gas pipeline industrial control systems. Overall, XGboost and LSTM models came top.
