https://lnkd.in/e7M6tQga Nearly 50 years after the end of Vietnam War, a new battle ground is brewing in SE Asia but it's economic rivalry that also Russia plays a key role. Often seen as one of the most rapidly growing regions, ASEAN is now frequently cited as a potential rival to the EU. Established in 1967, ASEAN was formed with the primary goal of promoting economic growth, social progress, and regional stability. Comprising 10 countries including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, its significance in the global landscape has been growing exponentially. Vietnam's new era international policy is the "4 Nos" since 2019.

This has been a humbling and a phenomenal experience. Usually I am the one who is asking questions. 😊 Last week the seats have changed and Bernard Leong invited me to be a guest on his podcast Analyse Asia. 2 Hours Well Spent Recently, I listened to a podcast that interviewed Tan Sri Wahid Omar, Chairman of Bursa Malaysia. He has also successfully led many big Malaysian companies such as Maybank, PNB, Telekom Malaysia, and UEM Malaysia. He shared 3 learning points from his illustrious career. 1. Have a purpose - do good then you will gain barakah (blessings) and be successful. 2. Know the traits of a good leader - there are many but focus on 3. i) integrity - doing the right things even when no one is watching ii) competence - have the right skills and knowledge iii) humility - treat people with mutual respect, be grounded to your roots, aware that you do not know everything and need teamwork to succeed. 3.
