My heart is crying for the pain my Beirut and Lebanon are enduring. Every day, I fear for my family's lives, praying that I don’t receive a phone call with devastating news. This city, my city, has been through so much, and yet the heartbreak continues. Beirut is more than a place; it’s home, filled with memories, laughter, and love, now overshadowed by fear and uncertainty. As I watch from afar, my soul aches for those who are living through this nightmare, for the families torn apart, for the lives lost. All we can do is hope, pray, and hold on to the strength of our people. Appreciation post! 🫶🏼 Supervisors are not just guides; they are catalysts for transformation. Throughout the past few months, Sam Barbour Pringle EIA, ESIA has been that catalyst. Her profound insights, thought-provoking questions, and unwavering support have pushed me to reflect deeply and evolve into a better version of myself, both as a coach and as a person. What truly distinguishes Sam is her ability to reflect back the essence of my work, enabling me to see beyond the surface-level techniques and into the core of my motivations and values. In our sessions, I have uncovered blind spots I wasn’t even aware of, and through her guidance, I have felt empowered to navigate them with greater awareness. 🇱🇧 Lebanon is bleeding! This image powerfully captures the deep pain and suffering of my beloved Lebanon and what it is going through, a country that has already endured so much loss. The cedar tree🌲, symbolising life, resilience, and hope, grows from a foundation soaked in the blood🩸of its people, draped in the national flag. Behind it, the smoke from recent bombings serves as a dark reminder of the violence tearing through homes and communities 💔. As Israel’s strikes continue, lives are lost, families displaced, and the roots of a nation are shaken. But just like this tree, Lebanon remains standing, tired, scarred, but rooted in its strength and resilience 🌍💪🏼. To all those suffering, grieving, and fearing for their future, the world must hear your voice 🗣️. We must call for peace✌🏼, justice ⚖️, and an end to the destruction. 🌱 Navigating the Path from Resistance to Growth 🌱 Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working with clients who are navigating change but are often resistant to stepping out of their comfort zones. They’re set on familiar paths, hesitant to embrace the unknown. It’s a common challenge, and I’ve found that using the Fixed vs. Growth Mindset Pathway metaphor has been incredibly effective in helping them shift their perspectives. I ask them to visualise two paths: The Fixed Mindset Path: Safe, straight, and narrow, but ultimately leads to a dead-end. The Growth Mindset Path: Winding and full of challenges, but with opportunities for new landscapes, learning, and growth along the way. Through this metaphor, clients begin to explore why the fixed path may feel comforting yet limiting, and how the growth path, though uncertain, offers potential for greater rewards. I guide them with powerful questions such as: 💡 What are you gaining by staying on the fixed path, and what might you be sacrificing? 💡 What opportunities could unfold if you embraced the growth mindset path? 💡 How would your life or career look a year from now if you fully committed to the growth path?
