This year alone, Apprentice Now has delivered 900+ entry-level technicians nationally, who were custom-trained for each individual client, so that the technicians reach peak productivity 3 times faster than other sources, and we still didn't make a dent in the current demand for technicians. Luckily, unlike a trade school, we are able to source and custom-train large groups of technicians on demand vs waiting for semesters etc. We do this for individual clients and groups of smaller contractors nationwide. We also utilize state funding/grants, when available, to provide continuing education, mentorship, and support post-hire which greatly amplifies employee retention rates. Quality Candidate Sourcing + Custom-Trained Technicians + 80%+ Employee Retention = Staffing Success and Revenue Goals Acheived! #hvacjobs #hvacstaffing #bestcandidates #ondemandstaffing #strategicstaffing #workforcedevelopment #hvac #hvactechnicians #customtraining

A class doesn't replace experience! Today with people in high demand and the average person that takes care of a building, or complex, or a facility, not staying more than 2-3 years before they move on to another job. No one ever gets enough experience to navigate the liabilities. HVAC equipment that is not maintained properly can be deadly. It is my opinion we are trying to buy our way out of liability with classrooms and not field experience which is irreplaceable. Too many apprentices are working as a field technician who do not have the experience needed to do the job. It takes years before a person who has gone through an apprenticeship before they are a technician that understand the liabilities involved the in the job. Do people forget that difference between a boiler and a bomb is basically the art of slow combustion and a few controls that must be maintained properly? I am amazed how many technicians work on a combustion appliance that do not have a combustion analyzer. If your not measuring your just guessing. Would you hire a school bus driver who just got their drivers license because he can technically drive a buss around the parking lot?

Solutions Minded Tradesperson | Skilled Trades Advocate | Master Electrician | Certified Safety Codes Officer
"If you're going to start in a trade finish it. No one can ever take that certificate away from you." That is some of the BEST advice I received from another tradesperson who was about the age I am now when they gave it to me 23 years ago. For me, this is a tremendous message when recruiting tradespeople. I was recently asked, "do you want to be an electrician forever?" I put up my hand and was told I'm an Instructor. While that is true now I will always be an Electrician. In 2020 when my position as an instructor was deemed redundant, I found myself starting over. I was starting over, mid-COVID and there wasn't a lot of hiring going on. What allowed me to start over again without starting from scratch, my trade certification. My message to apprentices, is the same one I received 23 years ago. Once they achieve their certification, no one can take it away from them. Many will undoubtedly go on to do other things but they will always be a tradesperson. Others may be in the field their whole lives and we need that as well. We will always need qualified people training the next generation of tradespeople. Telling tradespeople they're not always going to be one or that a life of hard work in the field isn't enough, tends to devalue the work we do. What is most attractive about becoming a tradesperson is the freedom it provides. The freedom to start over from a place of experience and maintain the life you've built. This meme is quite a popular one these days. It may not have been built with a trades career in mind but it captures it nicely. No matter what a tradesperson goes on to do, if need be they will always be able to roll up their sleeves and start over from a pretty good place. A journeyperson rate and that is freedom. Dirty ✋, clean 💵. Another in my laundry list of reasons to become a skilled tradesperson. #foreveratradesperson #foreveranelectrician #electricianlife #skilledtrades

💡IDEA!!!💡Tool manufacturers🛠should start making tools HI VIZ YELLOW so that they can be seen when doing an equipment check before energization?🔥 Thanks for sharing Jason Brozen! I think we can all see ourselves overlooking that. It blends in and there's no contrast. I can definitely see myself overlooking that. It sucks when connections on socket attachments and magnets with attachments are compromised. Cody David Klein Tools Wiha Tools USA Zachary Hoffmann
May is electrical safety month. Apprentice: “ I can’t remember what I did with your 5/16 Allen socket” Electrician: “Found it!” When building electrical services, I always made sure to do about four tool checks before energization. #ElectricalSafetymonth, #WorkSafe, #PPE

The Apprentice knows you have to hit it to make it work - The Technician knows where you have to hit it to make it work * The Engineer knows why you have to hit it to make it work.

Your government affairs update with Eric 📋⚡️ ELECTRONIC SEALS was the hot topic at the state board of examiners monthly meeting last week. There was discussion about how to start integrating electronic seals. 🔋 We all know our seal presses that we've used, but within the past few years, architects and engineers have started sealing their documents electronically so the boards for electrical contractors have started looking at implementing this for the other licensed trades. The Department of community affairs participated in the board's meeting to educate the licensing board about how this has worked for engineers and architects. 🤨THE BIG QUESTION: how do we ensure this isn't used fraudulently? As explained by the Department of Community Affairs, this is a secure means of sealing permits and other pertinent documents and is akin to what some banks require for important documents. The other challenge: are municipalities going to be able to accept the technology to accept the permit? The board will continue to discuss this topic and the NJ IEC ⚡️will continue to be there to represent YOU the electrical contractor. What are your thoughts on electronic seals? . . . . .
