This time last week I was attending my first #NCVER conference at #northmetrotafe in Perth. The theme centered around the power of partnerships across education providers, industry, government, community, and students. The focus? Enhancing access, experience, and skills outcomes. Key takeaways for me from the conference: - The continued focus and improvement of online and hybrid learning models showing major promise across the sector. - Engaging techniques like virtual reality and gamification augmenting classroom experiences. - AI tools making learning more accessible than ever. - A push toward digital empowerment for students and employers to showcase and evaluate competencies. Yet, the path forward faces common challenges: - Boosting the digital proficiency of both staff and students is crucial. - Cultivating the motivation for change is still a hurdle for many. Leadership, culture and strategy is crucial. - Investment (always) remains a pivotal piece of the puzzle. A very interesting point of discussion during keynote speaker Professor Barney Glover's presentation was the correlation between industry skills gaps and a lack of diversity. It underscored the importance of accessibility and tapping into the full breadth of the workforce to overcome skills shortages. A big shoutout to NCVER, partners, and sponsors for a fun and thought-provoking conference! #VocationalEducation #TrainingAndDevelopment #Partnerships #nousgroup #NoFrills2024

As we step further into the digital era of education, I find myself reflecting on how far we've come and the exciting path that lies ahead for standardized testing and college admissions. At TTP, we’re not just participants in this evolution; we’re pioneers, continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible in test prep. The recent shifts toward digital and adaptive test formats represent more than just a change; they mark the beginning of a new era in education, where technology meets opportunity. At TTP, we’ve leveraged this moment by integrating advanced AI diagnostics and adaptive learning technologies that tailor educational experiences to individual student needs, optimizing their preparation and boosting their confidence. As TTP continues to innovate, I invite students, educators, and all stakeholders in education to join us on this journey. Together, we can transform challenges into opportunities and aspirations into achievements. #education #innovation #standardizedtests #accessibility #futureofeducation

The US National #EdTech Plan gets its first update since 2017! The plan identifies the barriers to equitable support of learning through EdTech as 3 divides: 1) Digital USE divide 2) Digital DESIGN divide 3) Digital ACCESS divide Good recommendations for closing each of the divides are included in this publication by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Educational Technology. In the article https://lnkd.in/dkHHWUcx, Keith Krueger from Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) really hit the nail! "This is not a plan to be passed to the technology director to implement. It is intentionally designed to bring district leadership (academic, special education, finance, and technology) together to take action, and to build systems that empower every learner." Modern learning and new pedagogies are embedded throughout the plan, which includes #UDL, #PBL, #STEAM, #LearnerVariability #DigitalHealth #DigitalSafety #DigitalCitizenship #Leadership https://lnkd.in/d54QaamM
