Accardi Engineering Group had the opportunity to work with the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville on the reconstruction of Main Street, stretching from Park Drive to Edward Street. Our role included design, contract administration, site inspection, and material testing, supporting essential upgrades to the storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, and road infrastructure. With a focus on minimizing disruption, our team carefully managed each phase of the project to balance infrastructure improvements with the needs of local businesses, residents, and the environment. Our portfolio of canal and waterway projects is continuing to grow, with our #Bristol office recently bringing their multi-disciplinary offering to Cotswold Canals Connected’s project to restore the ‘missing mile’ of the Stroudwater Navigation. Our civil, structural and geo-environmental engineering teams worked alongside partners to design a replacement aqueduct and retaining walls, all whilst meeting the technical, budgetary and delivery demands of the scheme. This ambitious award-winning restoration is the largest, and most complex The National Lottery Heritage Fund project in the South-West. We’re proud to partner with the Taney County Regional Sewer District (TCRSD) on the Emory Creek Sanitary Sewer Improvement projects! After being selected in 2022 to evaluate the sewer collection system and treatment plant, TOTH developed a Facility Plan outlining key improvements to be completed in two phases. Phase 1 is currently underway and focuses on resolving challenges in the low-pressure sewer collection system caused by a flow diversion. To address these issues, TOTH designed: ✔️ A new lift station at the inactive treatment plant ✔️ 4,800 linear feet of force main to the operable plant These upgrades will restore the collection system to its original design and enhance efficiency at the treatment plant. Construction is on track to wrap up early this year! #civilengineering #engineering #strongercommunities

We're proud to be a part of the team for this significant programme with Yorkshire Water, to reduce storm overflow discharges at wastewater treatment sites across Yorkshire. This initiative is set to enhance Yorkshire's wastewater network by adding over 13,000m³ of stormwater storage capacity by April 2025, to improve water quality and reducing storm overflow use, building a better future for Yorkshire's rivers and communities. #YorkshireWater #WaterIndustry #Wastewater #Collaboration
We’re grateful for the hard work our partners Peter Duffy Limited, Seymour Civil Engineering, Stonbury and Barhale Ltd are making on a £27.8m programme to reduce storm overflow discharges at 41 of our wastewater treatment sites across Yorkshire. When complete, this investment will improve our wastewater network by adding over 13,000m3 of storm water storage capacity by April 2025. This project is in addition to other schemes that are underway across the region to help reduce storm overflow use and improve water quality in Yorkshire’s rivers. Another successful use of soil mixing on this site in Kings Lynn. The existing ground on-site consisted of deep layers of peat and lacked the required strength to construct the new service roads and install the infrastructure for the new industrial estate. #DeepSoilMixing #SoilMixing #SoilStabilisation #GroundStabilisation #GroundRemediation #CivilEngineering #GroundEngineering #GeotechnicalEngineering #Construction #Infrastruture #Highways
Deep Soil Mixing Ltd has successfully completed a 12-month project for their client Norfolk County Council Highways Department, working for main contractor Octavius, using soil mixing as the ground improvement solution on the new roads on the Nar Ouse Enterprise Zone in King’s Lynn. The deep soil mixing solution was proposed by Norfolk County Council Highways and the design of the solution was undertaken by Deep Soil Mixing Ltd and Ayesa - UK and Ireland. Over the course of approximately one year, Deep Soil Mixing Ltd worked closely with Octavius to deliver the ground improvement solutions needed to prevent long-term settlement of the ground and enable the construction of the new service roads to the new business park and industrial buildings. https://lnkd.in/geZb2f4s #SoilMixing #DeepSoilMixing #GroundRemediation #CivilEngineering #Thisiscivilengineering #Construction #SoilStabilisation #GroundStabilisation #GroundEngineering #Infrastructure #Highways

Voters in Bellaire, Texas, gave their approval to two major infrastructure bond measures, signaling strong support for the city’s planned improvements to water, wastewater, and stormwater system. Proposition A, a $40 million bond, aims to fund various drainage improvements, including design, construction, and repairs. Proposition B, with a $30 million allocation, focuses on enhancing water and wastewater facilities, covering similar needs for installation, renovation, and acquisition of necessary infrastructure. 50th Anniversary Signature Project: Elevated Water Tank Replacement & Community Park, Kill Devil Hills, NC Client: Town of Kill Devil Hills When an Outer Banks beach town needed to replace its aging elevated water tank and increase its capacity for fire protection, Kill Devil Hills called upon the same firm who had been serving them for decades. American Engineering led planning, engineering design, and construction administration of the replacement of one of the Town’s aging elevated water storage tanks with a new 400,000-gallon pedosphere elevated storage tank. The new tank provided double the storage capacity of the old tank. There were design and construction challenges on the water portion of the property as there was limited area to install the new tank while keeping the existing tank in service during construction. The new tank had to be installed within an NCDOT drainage easement between the back of the fire station and Meekins Athletic Field, which contained an existing 42” arch CMP drainage pipe. This drainage pipe conveys a large amount of stormwater from neighborhoods and commercial areas north and west of the site. To keep the existing drainage system functioning during construction and to satisfy NCDOT, a 60” pipe system was installed in front and south of the fire station prior to construction of the new tank. Once the new tank was completed, the existing tank was demolished. This part of the plan left the Town with enough space to construct a monopole communication tower on the tank site, eliminating the need to place critical communications equipment on the new tank.
