Due to the disastrous budgetary situation at JPL that’s been all over the news, this past week I had to let go dozens of incredibly talented, experienced engineers in the areas of mechanisms, robotics, structures, design, deployables, structural analysis, dynamics environments, cable harness, testbeds, I&T, and pretty much every other specialty involved in creating one-of-a-kind, first-of-a-kind spacecraft. Hiring managers: as the old saying goes, my loss is your gain! If you see “Section 352 Spacecraft Mechanical Engineering” at the top of anyone’s resume, snatch them up and price them out handsomely. They deserve it and you’ll never regret it. You could essentially just gather the lot of them and immediately open a newspace startup and hit the ground running. If you’re a former 352er, rest assured we’re doing our best to put you together with the new opportunities coming at us from all angles now that the industry has realized that we just released a wave of hot talent into the market.
