Is Kamala the better executive? -possibly. Is Kamala fit for running as US president -based on what credentials exactly? But all of that is not the question here. The real question at hand is: Will a Trump presidency be a *net positive* for the world vs. a Harris presidency? So when you look at the *actual* potential policy outcomes, you can see that on the one hand you have a candidate that is mostly backed by Silicon Valley VCs, and even has a former VC running as his Vice candidate, vowing to leave businesses & startups alone re. taxes, and even make their lives easier going forward. OTOH, you have a candidate that is almost -by party line-bound to work *against* startups' and companies' interests, and therefore *against* the economy and *against* our wellbeing. There is an hour long interview from Ben Horowitz and Marc Andreessen on how they have been struggling with Democratic policy makers, and how some of their intended policy agendas like 'unrealized capital gains tax' are borderline suicidal & would completely destroy the startup-VC ecosystem. Therefore the *net positive* candidate currently is rightfully Trump, even though you might not like his personality or leadership skills-I certainly don't.
Imagine a tech CEO you're considering working for or investing in. You reference check him with his former VP of Marketing who says "unfit to be a CEO, never working with him again". You check with his former VP of Sales who says "should never be a CEO again". Damn, not good but you keep going. His former CTO says "he's borderline incompetent". You check with his former General Counsel who says "no respect for the rule of law, lies all the time, never working with him again". Ok really bad given he hired all these people but you try one more, his former CFO who says "I wouldn't work with him if I were you, he can't be trusted". That guy you're vetting? That's Trump. His former Vice President isn't supporting him and thinks he’s unfit for office. Same with his first Attorney General. And his first Defence Secretary. And his second. And his former head of the Joint Chiefs. Same with his second Chief of Staff. And his third. And his second National Security Advisor. And his third. You'd never work for or invest in a CEO who referenced so badly with so many senior people they chose to hire and worked closely with. Why would you ever vote for someone who does?

82.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot. Including that one. But you can see how being that specific lends weight and credence to the sentence. Statistics can go a long way toward making your point to prospects, but using them is a double-edged sword – they can come back to bite you if not thoroughly researched and vetted. Caution must be used when framing a sales message in this way. For those firms under state or Federal compliance regulation by SEC or FINRA or banking statutes, this type of statement has to be vetted thoroughly, attributed correctly, and noted in disclosure as to its origin and scope before being used. For the rest of the world, such statements should be used sparingly and only when directly on point and when used to influence the buyers on a comparative basis so there is some context, if you want them to be effective. In internal communications, statistics can be used to paint a picture of progress, show ground gained, or soften the blow of a regression in advancement. It all depends . . . A good CMO will use statistics to tell a story. A fractional CMO will tell the story more quickly for less money. Hiring a Fractional CMO allows you to access top talent, senior people who have seen it all, for a small percentage of the typical cost, with no loss of productivity or results. I have a question for you. For years, we've all been preaching the message to recruiters, sourcers, and sales people: "Personalize your outreach! Don't send generic, all-about-you emails and InMails!" But now I get so many personalized AI generated emails, that truly look like they're form-based, that it's easy to tell they're not personalized by a human and adding words like "truly inspiring" just makes me cringe. Like this: ---- Hi John, I hope this email finds you well. I recently came across your impressive work with Recruiting Toolbox, Inc. and was particularly struck by your dedication to improving in-house recruiting capabilities for companies like Disney, Nike, and Amazon. Your approach to transforming recruiting organizations and elevating recruiters to talent advisors is truly inspiring. ---- Do you think AI or CRM personalization is better than no personalization? Do you think people on the receiving end know this is a fill-in-the-blank templated email, where every person the sender emails is probably "truly inspiring"? :) I guess the good news is that senders can test what works, and adjust. What are you seeing? Are you getting higher response rates from this kind of automated personalization vs maybe more generic outbound messages vs human personalization? Is the human personalization distinguishable? (I think it is, but maybe you disagree). Would love you to share your experiences.

The winning formula for staffing agencies has materially changed. We work with a TON of staffing companies across the country and across industry focus: healthcare, IT, executive search, industrial, logistics, and engineering. The past 12+ months have been challenging for most, and especially in this space. Here are our top 3 findings from our RevOps for Staffing business: 1. Specialize. If you're targeting everyone and every size and selling them everything, you cannot scale. 2. Invest in relationships, build GTM (marketing, sales, recruitment, post-placement, and post-sales) processes to enhance, enrich, and expand relationships - then scale with tech. 3. Your recruiters should be spending as much time targeting best-fit candidates as sales reps spend targeting new logo. Don't wait for an opportunity / job req / project to go find the right candidate. Those who are LEADING WITH the right candidate win. Bonus: AI will not solve your marketing, sales or recruitment problems. Don't chase/collect AI solutions. Instead, think of AI as a utility.
