Progress is moving slowly (or backward!🤬) when it comes to women on U.S. corporate boards. 🤔 💼 According to 50/50 Women on Boards @5050wob, women's representation in Q3 was at 29.2% – significantly lower than 2022 when the percentage of women appointed to boards was 39%. Despite companies' strides to improve practices related to diversity, equity and inclusion, female underrepresentation in leadership positions remains a challenge around the world. In a sample of 60 globally leading companies across four #DiversifiedIndustries sectors between 2012 and 2022, we've seen the average percentage of women on the boards of directors double from 2012 to 2022, but additional progress should be made as the percentage sits at only 29%.
