Priya co-founded Touring after 13 years in venture capital, M&A and enterprise technology. She was most recently a Partner at SoftBank Vision Fund, where she led investments into category-defining software companies including Pixis, Vendr, Observe.ai, CommerceIQ, Sendoso and Skedulo. 4. Vanessa joined NEA as a Partner in 2016 and focuses on enterprise and consumer investing. She is also a board observer at Forethought, SafeBase, Orby AI, Granica, Modyfi, and HEAVY.AI. She was a board observer at Robinhood until its IPO in 2021. Very insightful post! 💡Biggest take away, innovation is only as transformative to the extent that humans are willing to adopt it and see the value. If their wellbeing is not considered, it can be counterproductive. Employee thriving is the smart, long-game approach to embracing innovation and arrival technology. Todd McLees says it best, “So, even though AI can be very helpful, if it makes people unhappy, the company loses more money from unhappy workers than it gains from the new technology. This means the value of using GenAI could disappear if we don’t also take care of the people using it. In other words, people’s happiness and health are the keys to success, even in a world with amazing new technology like GenAI. These big global numbers show how important well-being and GenAI can be, but they start with each company and each person making the right choices.
