🔒 Be Safe—Whether You Work for 3D Security or Not 🔒 At 3D Security, we’re serious about safety for everyone, whether you wear our uniform or not. Every guard who attends our training sessions is taking an essential step toward staying safe—and sometimes, just learning one new technique could make all the difference in escaping a dangerous situation. You may not work for us now, or ever, but what’s important is that you’re equipped and prepared. Because when it comes to personal safety, the right training isn’t just valuable—it’s life-changing.

Security Guard Safety: Is your scene SAFE? One of the many lessons we brought back from the EMT training in New York is the concept of SCENE SAFETY. On their practical exam, not ensuring your scene is safe is an automatic failure! We have incorporated this into all our 3DSEMPs physical training, where the guard must articulate at the beginning of EACH and EVERY drill that they are confirming scene safety and determining any risk present. We feel this is an excellent mental habit to develop and will increase security guard safety in the field. 3D’s 3 Takeaways (analyze, distance and escape) 1. Be mentally alert and consciously determine any risk to your safety (people, potential weapons, hazards) before you encounter them 2. If in a situation with an unknow person that may pose a risk to you, set the distance between you and them to give yourself time to react or escape. 3. For our Tier 3 guards, this is important knowledge. If there's a delay in responder arrival, immobilizing an injury in a "position of comfort" can make a significant difference. Always remember to check CMS (Circulatory Motor Sensory) both before and after immobilization. This video summarizes the importance of SAM&LOTOTO. Often we overlook this process because of Downtime and Production losses but bypassing of safety devices and systems could result in a catastrophe. I like how they've used a Priority 1 machine to explain this which is something I can take back to my workplace The second part of the video always triggers a debate when I facilitate trainings on this.
