Recap of a Saturday well spent🚀 I had the opportunity to attend a virtual workshop by Ingressive For Good where experts in various fields guided us through a Digital Skills Workshop - From Novice to Mastery: Essential Skills to Thrive in the Digital Age. I truly appreciated the inspiring speakers and actionable points they shared. David Okpara provided insightful guidance and practical tools to enhance productivity. Kelvin Umechukwu emphasized three essential areas for professional development: Project Management, Sales, and Communication, underscoring their universal importance across diverse career paths. Treasure Okure discussed the art of personal branding and outlined two key steps for building a personal brand: 👉🏼Reflect and Plan: This involves introspection to define your identity, experiences, and purpose (your “WHY”). 👉🏼Show Up: Building an online presence through engaging storytelling to consistently connect with your audience. Lastly, Fawzyyah Danmole concluded with a brilliant discussion on the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in the digital space. Reflecting on this event, it’s evident that continuous learning is essential for thriving in the digital age. As a career coach, occasionally I discover that student messages carry a much deeper meaning than what is initially apparent. Yesterday, I received a truly inspiring message from a fresh graduate (see the image below) that highlights this perfectly. I just need to break down the layers of this message to share its depth and significance from my personal perspective: 👉 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: partnered with fellow early career professionals in a #hackathon, showcasing exceptional teamwork. 👉 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: ex-cuse-me!
