Alabama's approach to education is clear and unwavering: It should be accessible to ALL. Here’s how they are doing it: → Financial Accessibility: Recognizing the potential in every Alabamian, the state is tearing down financial barriers. They're ensuring that everyone has a chance at certificate programs in community colleges. No hefty price tags holding back dreams here! → Empowering ALL Students: By increasing project search sites, they’re ensuring students with intellectual and developmental disabilities aren't left behind but are given every opportunity to thrive. → The Alabama Talent Triad: All these initiatives are pillars of the Alabama Talent Triad, a comprehensive strategy to ensure the workforce is skilled, versatile, and ready for the future. In a world where it's easy to follow the status quo, Alabama is challenging the norm and redefining inclusivity in education. So, if you're ever looking for a playbook on how to bring inclusive education to the forefront, turn your gaze toward Alabama. The state's not just setting standards; it's raising them. What accepting autism looks like: ⭐ Celebrating differences ⭐ Respecting boundaries ⭐ Treating others how you would want to be treated ⭐ Listening ⭐ Asking questions ⭐ Challenging societal norms A lot of the points above are things that can often be taken for granted, having someone take the time to listen to you, ask what you want; to see the person first! Autistic people face barriers in many aspects of life. Here at DFN Project SEARCH Liverpool we are working with Liverpool City Council, The City of Liverpool College, Greenbank College, Hft, Alder Hey Children's Hospital, HM Revenue & Customs and Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to challenge and change societal barriers many face to enable everyone to have access to the same opportunities. #autism #nuerodiverse #equity #diversity #inclusion #supportedinternship #supportedemployment #hft #dfnProjectSEARCH #inclusionrevolution #oppertunities

For those of you beginning your career in ABA, here’s some advice: You might find yourself working long hours. BCBAs work really hard to get to the top. There’s college, then grad school, with over 200 hours of graduate-level coursework. Once you’re finally through school, you’ve got up to 1,500 hours of supervised behavior analysis experience. Finally, you’re through. You just have that one tiiiiiiny step of passing the Behavior Analyst Certification Exam… As a BCBA, you may keep climbing the ladder and eventually become a Clinical Director. This career path can be extremely rewarding, and you’ll meet a lot of amazing people along the way. However, at some point on this journey, you may find the heavy caseloads, long hours, timecards, billing, training, scheduling, etc. unsustainable. We hope you don’t. Because the reality is, you don’t have to give up your life or reach burnout to have an amazing career as a BCBA. With one-tier ABA, you don’t have to sacrifice your income and career success for your mental well-being. You get to return to the work you love that inspired you to get into this field in the first place: helping children with autism thrive, learn, and grow. #BCBA #BehaviorAnalysis #MentalHealth #WorkLifeBalance #OneTierABA #AutismTherapy #CareerGrowth
