In our recent wellbeing session, Paniz Mojahedi, MBA and Navpreet Parmar led an open, honest conversation about women's health—an area that is often overlooked or stigmatised in professional settings.🧠 We all got together and had an open discussion about the impact of women’s health on work life—covering everything from mental health and menstrual cycles to postpartum depression and menopause. 🌸 Key takeaways: - Women in full-time work are nearly twice as likely to face mental health challenges, yet many don’t feel comfortable seeking help. - Menstrual symptoms affect 45% of women, but talking about it at work is still taboo. - Postpartum depression and menopause often go unspoken, leaving women unsupported. We’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels safe to discuss these issues. When we support each other, we all succeed. 💪 Let’s keep the conversation going! 🗣️ #WomensHealth #Wellbeing #InclusiveWorkplace

Not a lot of people know that women are most likely to take their own lives between the ages of 45 - 54. It's also the time that a woman is likely going through her menopause transition. This is not a coincidence. Perimenopause and menopause are not mental health conditions, but the symptoms can cause mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. Women are often given anti-depressants without the true cause being acknowledged and are left still struggling. This can lead to suicide. We as women, husbands, partners, daughters, sons, friends, colleagues and employers need to know this. It is very important. The difference could make all the difference. Awareness and education are vital. #menopauseawareness #womenshealth #mentalhealthawareness #suicideprevention

People with depression are 40% more likely to develop cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, such as diabetes. With the National Institute of mental Health (NIMH) estimating that about 70% of all cases of depression are undiagnosed, it is critical for "whole health" programs designed to be holistic to prioritize addressing the triggers of mental health distress. This work often requires business leaders to embrace the fact that increasingly diverse employee bases come with varied family and social demands that impact how they show up in the workplace and utilize inclusive solutions to address these challenges (leaving no employee behind). With that said, two leaders come to mind: Pat Geraghty, President and CEO at GuideWell, and Shari Eaton, Chief People Officer at Chobani. They strive to tackle root causes of mental health issues in structuring their integrated care programs and recently launched a range of innovative perks tailored to meet the diverse needs of their caregiving employees, including immigrant staff.
