As the 31st of March falls on Easter Sunday this year, Inland Revenue have extended the final day for filing returns until 2 April 2024. However, it is really important to note that if you file on or before 31 March the time bar is 31 March 2028, but if you file on 1 or 2 April, the time bar is extended until 31 March 2029. For this reason, we recommend that filing is completed on 28 March 2024 (the final working day of the financial year) or 31 March 2024 for those that don’t mind working over the long weekend.

🍂🦃 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍂 As we gather around our Thanksgiving tables today, let's take a moment to express our gratitude. 🍁 This year, we're especially thankful for two things: the opportunity to have saved on taxes and the ability to fulfill our tax responsibilities. It's a reminder of our hard work and financial mindfulness. 💼💰 While we enjoy the turkey and the warm company, let's not forget that just like the Thanksgiving feast, year-end deals are upon us! 🎉 It's the perfect time to plan ahead and make the most of the opportunities for tax savings as the year comes to a close. 📅✨ Remember, while the turkey doesn't wait, neither do taxes! So, let's be thankful for the savings we've made and look forward to more in the future. 🌟 Wishing everyone a heartwarming, joy-filled Thanksgiving! May your day be filled with love, laughter, and delicious food. 🍗🥧🍂 #HappyThanksgiving #TaxSavings #Gratitude #YearEndPlanning #FinancialWellness #Credit #Tax #Finance #CEO #CFO #Accounting #Bookkeeping #Taxes #Wealth #Business #Entrepreneur #Womeninbusiness #Fintech #Marketing #World #Wealthmindset #Entrepreneurship#FinanceTips

A private chef isn’t deductible, but if I host daily business dinners and employ a chef for them, I can deduct the cost. 👨🍳 This strategy enables me to afford a private chef year-round for meals with my wife, friends, family, and business clients, including relatives on my board of directors. 🍲 Are you going to do the same? #smallbusinestaxstrategy #taxadvice #taxes #taxexpert #richpeopletaxes #realestate #depreciation #investmentproperty #taxsavings #karltondennis

Stop buying yourself a “business lunch”, and throwing red flags at the IRS without first knowing the meal requirements for 2023; instead, empower your deductions by understanding the rules and avoid IRS Scrutiny #1 First up, meals for recreational employee events, like parties or picnics. And hey, food for the public to spread goodwill? That's a yes! 😊 #2 For business meals, you're looking at a 50% deduction. Think client meetings, in-office munchies, and those travel meal expenses. #3 Now, entertainment is a no-go, unless it's directly tied to your business, like if you're a food blogger or critic. Sorry, no nightclubs on the list. #4 Keep your receipts for meals over $75. And remember, lavish and extravagant don't fly with the IRS. Document those meals! Date, purpose, names, and venue. Don't forget the total bill with tax and tip. #5 If you have high meal deductions, especially when you don’t have substantial business revenue to justify the expense, will likely increase your risk of an IRS audit. #accountingbiz #taxdeductions #businessdeduction #smallbusiness #taxes2023 #taxupdates #businesstips
