A big thank you to Bryony Houlden for sponsoring a CPD workshop "Meet the Kwirkeez" last Thursday for the South West Councils coaching community. The morning workshop gave participants time to explore the 12 Kwirkeez characters and consider what metaphors each element might hold. These carefully curated characters also helped prompt considerations of traditional stereotypes, assumptions and the potential for unconscious bias. The core of the workshop was about creating a bespoke Kwirkee that help answer a question about our professional identity or brand. Questions like - who are you on a good day? How would your clients see you? We then moved to deeper questions inviting exploration of which "parts" of our Kwirkee were core and which still evolving? Which parts eluded us on a bad day?! The output is useful to bring energy to a discussion about our professional brand (particularly if you need to articulate your approach for accreditation purposes) AND it can also be useful to use with our clients who are exploring their authenticity and leadership brand. I really enjoyed working with such a engaged group - and you can see from the word cloud how participants felt about it :D If you are interested to do some similar work, I'm running an in person workshop in London - September 12th afternoon.
