It's been 4.5 years since Cambridge Capital LLC invested in Liftit, the leading technology platform to automate and execute truck deliveries across #Mexico, #Colombia and #Ecuador. Our original investment excitement was that a scrappy group of Colombian entrepreneurs (🚚 Felipe Betancourt Celis 📦and Angel Celis Botto) produced significant revenue and geographic growth in a short time period with the biggest shippers in LatAm, without coming from a traditional logistics background. They simply slept at warehouses to learn the business, and thought years ahead as they developed their technology platform. We originally signed a term sheet in January 2020 and I visited the team in Bogota shortly after to see the bustling activity in the region and meet more of the team. Who would have thought that just two months later the world would shut down, and then, seemingly out of nowhere, e-commerce would accelerate to new heights? As the lead Series B investor and one of the only new investors coming in, which could be daunting given all the unknowns in early 2020 and the fact that we are not specialist investors in LatAm (just global logistics😁), we were encouraged by the significant participation in the Series B by existing investors like IFC - International Finance Corporation, Banco Davivienda and Arca Continental, and we were able to close the transaction swiftly. With the addition of senior management like Fernando Matias as President, Alan Stewart Carvajales as COO/General Counsel, and three independent Board Members with unique LatAm customer relationships and LatAm logistics expertise, Liftit has grown net revenue by 3x, nearly doubled gross margin % and achieved operational profitability recently. We are excited by the continued growth opportunity for Liftit, particularly as #domestic #Mexico surface transportation needs will skyrocket due to nearshoring. I would encourage anybody in my network doing #crossborder to see how Liftit can help get your goods to where you need them within Mexico, and I would encourage any large shippers in Mexico to see how partnering with Liftit can improve OTP/OTD + tender acceptance, prevent theft and enable full LatAm visibility of your truck-based supply chain.

Today, our Head of Baltics CL, Raivo Roolaid; Head of Operations Estonia, Erich Jeerik; and Baltics Customer Experience Manager, Triinu Luidalepp, met with the Deputy Mayor of Transport for Tallinn, Kristjan Järvan, to discuss the future of parcel delivery in the Estonian capital city. 🤝 Together, we explored opportunities for better collaboration with the city and looked into future initiatives in the logistics and parcel delivery sector. 💡 Key topics included: -Enhancing urban logistics infrastructure and solving courier parking pain points -The future of sustainable delivery practices -Streamlining regulations to facilitate efficient parcel delivery We believe it was a productive meeting and hope to see the outcomes soon!
