Hey there! I am considering changing my company's name and looking for some feedback. I've been told a few times that the word "Affairs" can have a negative connotation. To be honest, when I came up with the name, I thought the word symbolized an extravagant, opulent, grand, and memorable event. So here's what I'm mulling over: Should I keep it as is or change it to Posh Divine Events or Posh Divine Weddings and Events? Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

😍 On Friday, I had the pleasure of attending my neice's beautiful wedding. "Aunty Les, we have a special request" .... I was asked to create a veil for a large "Connie the Caterpillar" cake. 👰 🐛 Now, making a veil for a cake wasn’t something I had ever done before, but I saw it as a fun, creative challenge...and not wanting Colin to miss out, I asked the groom what his choice would be for him.. a cap please! With no idea how I was going to achieve that, the words "Challenge accepted" fell out of my month! 😆 🤦♀️ As I started working on it, I realised for this to be a centre piece, I needed to go beyond the original brief. My mind sparked with possibilities, and soon, I found myself crafting not just the veil but an elaborate fairy tree cake stand to complement the autumnal theme of the wedding. 🍃 The end result was more than anyone had imagined—it became a stunning focal point. The fairy tree cake stand, adorned with delicate details, brought the caterpillars to life in a way that a simple veil could never have achieved on its own...and they loved it. Reflecting on this experience, it struck me how often we are given briefs in life and in work, but what sets us apart is the ability to see beyond those briefs. It’s about understanding the bigger picture, tapping into our creativity, and allowing it to flourish in ways that surprise even us. 😁 In any role—whether you’re crafting a project for a client or navigating leadership challenges—there’s always the opportunity to expand your thinking, to push boundaries, and to deliver something exceptional. Creativity doesn’t just reside in the task at hand; it’s in the way you see possibilities, how you bring your unique perspective to the table, and the courage to follow through with it. WHEN WE ALLOW OURSELVES TO THINK BEYOND THE OBVIOUS, WE CREATE MAGIC 💫 What are you going to do this week to spark your creative energy to deliver something more special than originally planned? #Creativity #BigPictureThinking #WeddingWeekend #Leadership #Innovation

There’s something truly special about the power of love — it's the driving force behind so much of what we do, both personally and professionally. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to merge my passion for love with my professional skills, by having the privilege of ordaining weddings for friends and family. Being able to contribute to one of the most meaningful days of someone's life is such an honor, and it’s been a journey that highlights how leadership skills can transcend the corporate world and shine in personal moments. 💍💖 Here are 5 ways leadership skills help me create unforgettable wedding ceremonies for my loved ones: Clear Communication: Just like any leader, I ensure the couple's vision is clearly communicated and respected. This sets the tone for a smooth ceremony, ensuring every moment is just as they envisioned. Decision-Making: In the face of unexpected changes or last-minute adjustments, I apply my decision-making skills to keep everything on track, making sure the couple's big day remains stress-free. Empathy and Emotional Intelligence: Understanding and respecting the emotions involved is key in a wedding ceremony. These skills allow me to connect deeply with the couple, making the ceremony even more heartfelt. Organization and Time Management: A well-planned ceremony is essential. My leadership experience helps me stay on top of timelines and logistics, ensuring the day runs smoothly. Team Coordination: Ordaining a wedding involves collaboration with vendors, family, and friends. My ability to lead teams ensures everything aligns perfectly for a flawless celebration. It's a wonderful feeling to be able to lead with love in such a personal way, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to help make these moments truly unforgettable. 💍🌟 #Leadership #Love #WeddingOfficiant #ProfessionalSkills #WorkLifeBalance #FriendsAndFamily

I often hear, "I'm better at celebrating others than myself." I totally get it, but it also saps us of confidence, energy, and focus. For the past two months, I've been doing a morning celebration practice, which has made a world of difference in those traits and more. It's more than just asking, "What can I celebrate." You need a system and a series of questions. I took the questions and made a 7-day celebration challenge to help people create a celebration practice. If you have trouble celebrating yourself or would like more celebrations, I invite you to do this challenge. It takes only a few minutes a day and increases the number of celebrations in your life. https://lnkd.in/gYKgBK36
