What a whirlwind of a week! First, I’m incredibly honored to be named on this year’s N2Growth Top CHRO List 🙏 I’m grateful to be recognized alongside some of the most inspiring people leaders in the field. This week has been filled with energizing conversations and moments of reflection.  I was a panelist at BrightHire's inaugural "Shine" conference, where we dove into the Future of Talent Management, discussing how we can hire, manage, and grow talent over the next decade. I also did a keynote at General Atlantic's Chief People Officer's gathering, where we explored strategies to scale sustainably in today's fast-evolving world AND I facilitated a conversation with Cesar Carvalho (he/his) Carvalho and Lívia de Bastos Martini from Wellhub on how critical wellbeing is to resilience and performance.  The energy and innovation I’ve seen from the talent leaders I met this week remind me of why I’m so excited about the future of work. We are shaping and driving meaningful change in our organizations, and ensuring that talent drives business success. As my new friend Tia Silas says, it's not HR, it's just instilling the values of great company building. What stood out to me this week is how united we are in our mission to build organizations that perform and thrive. Reading this morning's CHRO Daily was a wonderful way to begin the week. I always appreciate the newsletter's insights, and the way it presents a balanced look at the challenges and opportunities for talent development in any given moment. A snapshot of quotes that stood out to me in today's edition: "Around 72% of C-suite and HR leaders plan to further build and enhance their existing DEI programs within the next two years, according to a new report from management consulting firm Bridge Partners, which polled more than 400 business executives at companies with at least $25 million in revenue or more than 250 employees. By comparison, only 4% of business leaders plan to cut back or eliminate their programs. The picture becomes even rosier when it comes to how many executives think these programs improve the company. Around 94% of survey respondents say DEI is important for its positive impact on recruiting, hiring, and retention. Another 74% believe these programs improve a company’s reputation with customers and the public, and 68% say these initiatives foster innovation and creativity." They go on to point out that while HR leaders and Executives were the biggest proponents of DEI, "Board members, shareholders, and external stakeholders were the least likely to prioritize DEI, as only 57%, 41%, and 35% respectively said that DEI is a high priority." As I've posted about previously, and many others have shared, the language and entry points may change, and not everyone will always understand what is so clear to us. Some may see a wide pendulum swing from 2020 efforts, but the work is still very much happening, and those of us who have been doing it since before the pendulum swung have always known it was a marathon well worth running.
