Instilling moral values in early childhood is crucial for shaping a child's character and fostering qualities like empathy and honesty. These foundational lessons contribute to positive social behaviour and set the stage for a more compassionate and responsible future. Early childhood serves as a pivotal time for imparting these values, influencing not only individual conduct but also promoting a harmonious society. At KA- The Preschool Preschool, the recognition of the importance of moral values in childhood education is woven into the fabric of their approach. The school stands out for its commitment to instilling not only academic knowledge but also a strong foundation of moral values. Through the regular narration of diverse moral stories and daily discussions on the 'Value of the Month and Words of Wisdom,' KA- The Preschool Preschool actively engages young minds in conversations that go beyond textbooks. This deliberate focus on moral development fosters character building, empathy, and ethical decision-making in the formative years. By integrating these values into daily conversations and activities, KA- The Preschool Preschool exemplifies the belief that nurturing strong moral compasses in early childhood education lays the groundwork for responsible and compassionate individuals who will contribute positively to society. #education #moralvalues #learning #preschool #knowledge #playbasedlearning

The world’s greatest kindergarten teacher is Ms. Mannall from John Glenn Elementary School in Donahue, Iowa. Why is she the greatest? She has mastered the art and science of teaching practice. She knows how brain development influences pedagogy. Look around her classroom, and you will see students engaged in fun learning activities appropriate for their development. She understands classroom culture, moving about the classroom like a maestro conductor. Her physical presence maintains a learning environment without squelching kindergartners’ natural exuberance. And she’s kind, listening to each student, treating their questions with respect, and gently but firmly guiding them toward learning with love. The children are learning this behavior. Kindergartners solve problems with one another, apologize when necessary and show respect as they take turns and help one another learn. It's obvious by the feel in the room that these children know Ms. Mannall cares about them deeply and that they are doing important, meaningful work together. She makes teaching look easy despite it being one of the most difficult of human experiences. Ms. Mannall was able to become competent and confident as a teacher because of critical supports she had in place as a new teacher - much of it by pure luck. We cannot leave this kind of mastery to chance. That’s why we created ELP. If you’d like to learn more about our program and how it helps New Teachers become more confident and competent faster, leave a comment below or send us a DM. And, we invite you to read more about how Ms. Mannall became the world's greatest kindergarten teacher by following the link in the comments below. #education #educationmatters #teachers #educatorsleading #theprofessionofteaching #newteacher #learning

Decades of research show that high-quality early childhood programs can have lasting positive impacts on young children. A new report from the National Academies lays out a new vision for high-quality, equitable preschool curricula. “A large body of evidence shows that early education can influence children’s long-term trajectories and life outcomes, but many children are denied the power and promise of high-quality preschool experiences or receive inappropriate early education that does not recognize and build on their linguistic and cultural strengths,” said Linda Espinosa, professor emeritus of early childhood education at the University of Missouri, Columbia, and co-chair of the committee that wrote the report. “Improving access for all children is a clear need, as well as ensuring program features that capitalize on their talents and promote life-long competencies”. I think all kindergartens, primary and secondary education systems of the underdeveloped and developing countries should incorporate life skills such as cleaning, cooking and other household chores in their school curriculum and then articulate and implement it in a safe and ethically accurate manner. Having done this will prepare the kids and children to live happily in any complex situation and life as our world is changing rapidly and implementing these practical life lessons help children become independent and resilient. Learning by doing and active learning is something that past and contemporary education thinkers put forward and advocate for as they experienced, experiment and wrote extensively about it. Today's children in schools (K-12) prefer and prioritize hands-on activities and active learning over lengthy explanations and lectures which do not include practical and learning engagement activities

Early childhood education fundamentally shapes how children approach learning. Investing in high-quality preschool helps children develop the essential skills they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. At RISE Education, our vision is to expand the accessibility of culturally rich specialty programs that encourage children to embrace unique perspectives, enrich their lives, and strengthen their communities. This insightful article from the National Education Association underscores the importance of preschool not just to introduce students to academic subjects like reading and writing, but to provide space for them to embrace creativity and self-expression.

"Which grades do you teach?" 😬 Universal Grades A question that shouldn't matter for a teacher but often does to those who judge our value based on the age group we handle. Today, I saw this perspective come to life in a new way. My secondary students visited a preschool to give a session on oral hygiene, and they were absolutely thrilled. They enjoyed leading a session for the little ones so much that some even started considering becoming preschool teachers! It made me so happy to see this shift because I know firsthand how deeply transformative teaching young children can be. I’m a different person today thanks to my Montessori training, and when I say I’m a teacher, I know I’m capable of teaching from preschool all the way to postgraduate students. I’ve seen preschool teachers longing to teach higher grades, believing it’s a promotion. If it’s about a pay raise, I get it. But otherwise, each grade and each teacher is equally important. Teaching preschool requires a unique set of skills like patience, creativity, and the ability to see the world through a child’s eyes. It’s about laying the foundation for everything that follows. It’s time we value every stage of teaching for its unique impact, instead of seeing some as a "step up" or "step down." Today, I saw my students begin to understand that, and I couldn’t be prouder. #Montessorimethod #montessori #mariamontessori #earlychildhoodeducation #ece #preschoolteacher #teacherlife

For all those teachers and schools out there under pressure from parents to punish "bad kids". Read below ⬇️ From Children Who Are Not Yet Peaceful, “We have found that children are happier and more productive, have higher and more soundly-based self-esteem, and feel more cooperative when they are part of a group that refuses to cast children in roles. They value human life more deeply and experience a solid sense of security when no one labels them or punishes the “bad” and rewards the “good.” In a traditional classroom, teachers exercise extrinsic methods of reward and punishment to keep the classroom focused on work, control behavior issues, and enforce discipline. In a Montessori community, we do not seek to “control” or “teach” children, but we work through the environment, the materials, and the community of children to foster self-discipline, responsibility, and learning for each child. Of course, this approach is messier and it takes time! By opting to build a community culture in concert with the children, rather than imposing it on them, they are exposed to more difference, disagreement, conflict, and frustration than they might experience in a traditional classroom. But this is by design. Children do best when given the freedom to fail and navigate through the ups and downs of life. This work of community building and relationships is part of the core curriculum in our spaces - these are essential lessons for life. The children experience that living and working in community with others is difficult and involves compromise, but ultimately is life-affirming and enriching. #montessori #education #progressiveeducation #earlyyears
