This week marks National Grief Awareness Week Grief is a word for some of the feelings you may have after the death of someone close to you. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Some people describe being overcome or frightened by their feelings, others say they feel numb. The thoughts and feelings you have will vary. Sometimes, they may be very intense and stop you doing things. At other times, they may be in the background and you can still do your day-to-day activities. Your feelings may change day to day or even hour to hour. It is quite normal to have ups and downs. If you continue to be overwhelmed by your feelings, it is important to get the right help and support. You should talk to your GP or another health care professional. #grief #griefawareness #griefawarenessweek #loss #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #supportinggrief #griefjourney #embracinggrief #youarenotalone #griefsupport

🌺 Navigating Grief: Chronic Illness vs. Other Types of Grief 🌺 Grief comes in many forms, and its impact varies greatly. For those grappling with chronic illness, the grieving process is uniquely challenging. 💐 Unlike the grief following a loss of a loved one, chronic illness grief is ongoing. It involves mourning the loss of health, abilities, and often, the life one envisioned. This type of grief is complex and cyclical, triggered by flare-ups, new diagnoses, or changes in condition. 🌼 Chronic illness grief demands continuous adaptation and resilience. It's not just about coping with the initial diagnosis, but managing the emotional toll of a life-altering, persistent condition. 🌿 Understanding these nuances helps us support those facing chronic illness with greater empathy and effective strategies. Let's raise awareness and provide the compassionate support they deserve. 🙏 #ChronicIllness #GriefSupport #MentalHealth #WellnessCoach

It can feel just as difficult to cope with the grief of someone dying as someone who has died. Grief and loss doesn’t just refer to someone who has died. It’s also possible to grieve the loss of someone who is still alive. Watching someone deteriorate from old age, a terminal illness, an incurable medical condition, or having to consider hospice for a loved are all examples of this. These may also come with their own unique challenges. During this time, it’s especially still important to take care of yourself. Chances are you may have a lot on your plate financially, mentally, and emotionally. If you need help, make sure you reach out to someone. Don’t feel like you have to handle this by yourself. There is also nothing wrong with seeking professional help from a therapist either. Grief and Loss Therapy is not just for when someone has died. 👇 Click below to find out how you can begin Grief and Loss Counseling and how it can assist you. https://lnkd.in/gihYeXAX . . . . . #deathanddying #dying #terminalillness #grief #griefandloss #grieving #griefandlosssupport #griefsupport #grieftherapist #griefandlosscounselling #griefcounseling #griefcounselling #californiatherapist #californiatherapy #losangelestherapist #losangelestherapy

Grief myth: Grief has a set timeframe, and you should move on after a certain period. The Reality: Grief doesn't have a deadline. For some, it may take months; for others, it may take years. The intensity of grief may lessen over time, but the loss can continue to affect a person throughout their life. Everyone heals at their own pace, and allowing oneself to grieve fully is important without imposing a time limit. #griefmyth #hospiceblog #hospice #endoflife #endoflifecare #griefsupport #homehealth #hospicelife #homehealthcare #montanahospice #billingsclinic #stillwaterhospice #billingsbusiness #billingshospice #hospiceinbillings
