This report has no metrics. No objective means to verify statements or to validated claims. The Privy Council Office Results and Delivery Secretariat was to rectify this issue and instill a means to demonstrate accountability - almost a decade later just words of deeds and promises. Take this report claim for example and assign actual indicators: “We are striving for a public service where every employee is respected and valued for their contributions, and where workplaces are safe and accessible.” # of public servants promoted in senior manager ranks within 3 yrs of last hire (visible minority and indigenous public servants extrapolated ) % employee annual retention # (%) harassment, bullying and other complaints (monthly, annually, by race, gender, other, #cases investigated, grievances resolved in employee favour) # union complaints for mental health reasons annually Time (work weeks) accumulated for sick leave / medical leave for mental stress injuries # early retirements due to mental stress injury, burn out and other health conditions #of accessibility complaints and $ spent to resolve Total planned vs spent for workplace harassment prevention Writ large Clerk Hannaford, you get a D. I'm so pleased that Prairies Economic Development Canada I Développement économique Canada pour les Prairies is mentioned in the Clerk's report. My colleagues and I worked for months to prepare the way for the Framework to Build a Green Prairie Economy. That effort included the largest engagement exercise in the department's history to listen to people living and working on the Prairies, to hear from them about how governments should collaborate and cooperate better on their priorities to prosper from new economic opportunities in the net-zero future. We're now rolling out the results with economic development projects and investments that exemplify the "do better" principles those folks shared with us. This shout-out is meaningful recognition! #ProudlyPrairiesCan
