Connecting People with the Right Opportunities for 20+ Years | Expert in Talent Acquisition & Talent Management | Growing Teams, Driving Success
Newcomers discovering this country have an uphill journey. It's crucial to rethink and support their integration process. Adapting the candidate's experience is essential. The integration process for newcomers should be different from that of someone who was "born and raised" here. Recognizing this distinction can make all the difference in a smooth transition. Neglecting to bridge this integration gap can lead to frustrations. To achieve this, there are several ways to help them, here are 3: Implement a mentorship program where newcomers are paired with experienced employees. Provide training sessions on Canadian culture, professional standards, and workplace etiquette. This will help them better understand expectations and feel more comfortable in their new professional environment. Organize events and activities that promote interactions among employees. This can include lunches, after-work outings, or cultural events. Encouraging interactions creates a sense of belonging. Shape an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and contribute!
