Have you always have feared segment tree because of its complex nature. I added a video where i have explained how to fundamentally think about complex problems on segment tree and what operations to design, even if its lazy. Make sure to watch it to improve. Many Students asked me “Vivek, why did you not participate in Meta Hackercup?” … and I feel I should answer this to people who are doing CP now. Life goes on in phases. There was a time in college when I used to spend even 12 hours doing just CP, participating in contest, discussing questions with friends in college. But overtime, there are new things that pop-up that needs to be taken at more priority and some things that you enjoy takes backseat. Relationship, Health, Money, Family starts taking dominant responsibilities overtime and you no matter how you want.. have to choose other things. I still do try to contribute as much as possible to CP through my YT channel and at AlgoZenith. I partly am a coach now for many students… and I don’t think you will see any top basketball/football coaches participating themselves. It’s not like I don’t enjoy solving problems anymore. Participating, winning … all that adrenaline rush are some of the best times of my life. But now there are other things in life to focus on. Seems like that’s how life is. Enjoy every phase you live! #dsa #hackercup #life

If you feel "DP is HARD"... means you haven't learned the correct way to think about it! Be it for Leetcode Contests, Coding Test, Interviews... there can be a set framework that you can use to approach any problem thrown at you. The DP workshop covers one of the possible frameworks you can use to analyse problems and we use it every week to solve tons of problems on LC weekly. Do check it out : https://t.ly/cfmaq #dynamicprogramming #dsa #competitiveprogramming

Many students ask me “Vivek, where did you get the name ALGOZENITH, what does it mean?” Its a tough task to explain that in today’s world, no matter what name you come up with, the domains and social media of that is already taken :( So I just made this up … ALGO - cause we started with teaching Algorithms (though now cover everything). ZENITH - was my game name in Mini Militia back then. + it had this simple meaning of “Algorithm to take you to Zenith”. I agree its Hard to spell, but abstract enough to get all possible domains easily. I still remember 1 full day of me and team thinking of a name :P If you had to create a company, what would you name it?? Let me know in the comments. #dsa #algozenith

Most students today doing CP for the purposes of placements are on the wrong track already !! There are 3 different things ... See if you can spot the difference. 1. Prepare for what is asked in OAs 2. Prepare for what is asked in Interviews 3. Prepare for what is asked in CP Competitions. There is some overlap between each and off-course doing each is going to help the other... But if i am being laser sharp, each of them has different requirements. Just by grinding more CF and getting good rating is no longer fetching a job. You need to be sure that you are doing the (1) and (2). Also trying (3) for just jobs is wasteful... as its a longer journey. Always be clear on what are you preparing for! #placement #internship #competitiveprogramming #preparation

Most students think getting a good internship is the Endgame... but what about converting them to PPOs? In this episode, i talked to Muskan Walia about her experience at Microsoft and there are many points that i feel you should ABSOLUTELY STEAL!! You can think of this to be like a playbook to convert interns into PPOS. The link to the Video is in the first comment. Don't miss the learnings!! #dsa #microsoft #internship

Most top Private Colleges in India have started working in the same model as Coachings… Step 1: Filter top students. Step 2: Invest in a top-notch training for them. Step 3: Give them access to top opportunities. Step 4: Market their results to get more Admissions. …. And they do this because… this model works!! Does this happen at your college too ? And i think there is some point to this. A major reason is ... Not all students invest the same time and effort to get the result they desire. And anyways fresher opportunity is scarce in today's market. What are your thoughts on this? Just an observation from my side… as have been Consultant for many of these colleges myself. #edtech #college #university #technology
