Struggling with unreliable Wi-Fi? You can easily set up a high-speed wired network at home without running Ethernet cables! 🎯 Use existing coaxial cable: Leverage your home’s cable outlets with MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance) technology to create a fast and stable wired connection. ⚡ Upgrade speed: MoCA 2.5 supports speeds up to 2.5 Gbps, perfect for seamless video calls, file sharing, and even gaming. 🛠️ Minimal setup: Just connect a MoCA adapter to your cable outlet and your device using standard Ethernet cables. 🏡 No major renovations needed: Avoid the mess and cost of installing Ethernet by using coax cables already in place. 🔒 Boost security and performance: A POE filter enhances network performance and prevents signals from leaving your home. #TechHacks #HomeOffice #WiredInternet 📶 MoCA technology can also extend your Wi-Fi range by adding access points in hard-to-reach areas. 💡 Even older coaxial wiring can support gigabit speeds if it’s capable of handling HDTV signals. 🧑💻 Ideal for rented spaces or homes where installing Ethernet cables isn’t feasible! https://lnkd.in/ghGqkXjp

How Do I Boost My WiFi Signal? There are several ways to boost your WiFi signal. From placing your router in a different area of your house, to adding an antenna, to adding a whole new device, there are several options to consider. The first thing to try is checking on the placement of your router, as this is a key in getting a strong WiFi signal. Find out which direction the strongest signal is coming from and place the router in that area of your house. Building materials also play a big part in determining signal. If your router is in the kitchen and your office is in the concrete basement, those walls will impede the signal. The second option is to look at your equipment and make sure it is built for your needs. New technologies come on the market all the time and if your router or antennas are older, you might want to check out what’s new. All routers are not the same and some cannot handle the amount of signal you might need. Check the settings on your router and internet to make sure they are optimized. Rebooting your system clears information from the memory and gives it a fresh start. Also, check out your antenna and see if it is optimal for your desired signal and consider an upgrade to be able to receive more bandwidth from the provider. Here are some of our most popular, top-of-the-line cellular routers: Peplink Max BR1 Pro 5G Most popular 5G mobile router with up to 4 Gbps down. Peplink Max BR1 Mini Most affordable LTE mobile router with up to 300G bps down. A third option is to check out a booster or extender. Each of these devices takes your existing signal and manipulates it for a different purpose. The extender will rebroadcast the signal to dead areas of your home. The booster can amplify the signal up to 32 times its strength. Depending on your needs, one of these can make a big difference.

In the end , sometimes the best solution is the simplest one! Millions of households in the US still have coax wiring, which was previously used for cable TV - why not reuse it for running gigabit ethernet over coax to reach the tough corners of your home. MaxLinear , TRENDnet, #MOCA2.5

The Nest x Yale combo is still problematic, unreliable and inconvenient 5 years after its introduction: - Requires Google Connect (device) to connect to WiFi (why isn't this implemented via Nest Doorbell when installed together yet?) - Frequent disconnects from the network and you never know where the problem is - between Google Connect and the WIFI router or between Yale and Google Connect - Once disconnected (offline) for any reason, most of the times requires a factory reset and reinstallation of Google Connect and Yale - Missing important features such as: a) Triggering an alarm when the door is opened in "secure" mode b) Triggering an alarm (loud sound) on any Google Audio / Google Mini or 3rd party speakers c) No way to schedule "secure" mode on/off by time d) No LED to indicate "secure" mode on/off e) No mechanical/manual deadbolt for added security https://lnkd.in/gTyr2X_T
