As companies and traders gear up for the hydrogen economy, one critical question looms: How can we guarantee that the hydrogen we buy, sell, and use is as environmentally friendly as it claims to be? 💡 While synchronizing regulations and markets needs multilateral dialogue, we don’t have to reinvent the wheel, system design can encompass learnings from a proven tool: #GuaranteesofOrigin (GO). For over two decades, AIB has built reliable and transparent energy tracking systems, ensuring consumer trust and market integrity. Now, as hydrogen certification takes shape, these lessons are more relevant than ever. Tracking and Certification are complementary yet separate things. A tracking instrument, like a guarantee of origin, which is one possible format of a #digitalproductpassport, can convey certification of compliance with criteria. 📢 At Hyvolution Paris, our expert Katrien Verwimp delivered a keynote tat the IPHE event on Mutual Recognition of Certification Schemes for Hydrogen, bringing AIB’s expertise into the conversation. She subsequently moderated a panel with Florea Tudor, Jan Stelter, Wael Almazeedi, Sylvie Denoble-Mayer, and Christian Krueger, which made one thing clear: 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 functional 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲. 🤝💬 To build a truly synchronized and trustworthy hydrogen certification framework, we must keep talking, exchanging expertise, and solving challenges together. Collaboration is the key to making it work. #GuaranteesOfOrigin #HydrogenCertification #EnergyTracking #Hyvolution2025 #HyvolutionParis #LowCarbon #Renewable
