It was a pleasure to participate in the launch of Baron's latest project on Tuesday: "The Insider's Guide to America's Health Care Wars." After 6+ months of research, 2+ years of documenting health care companies' contributions to advocacy groups, and 25+ conversations with experts from every part of the health care policy ecosystem, we produced the first-ever comprehensive analysis of the commercial competitions taking place in Washington between major health care companies and an original database tracking the funding of 600+ health care advocacy groups. The top line: under the surface of most health care policy proposals is a commercial competition between clashing industries, with each pursuing a legislative or regulatory outcome that favors its business model. We hope the report and database can be a useful tool for anyone seeking to untangle these "Health Care Wars." Access both here: https://lnkd.in/dCD3EjPn.
