Breaking news! AeroShield Materials (Elise Strobach and Kyle Wilke, Cohort 2020) has been selected for the $14.5M Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) SCALEUP award. This prestigious award provides additional funding to previous ARPA-E recipients who demonstrate a clear path to market success. AeroShield will use the funding to manufacture its aerogel materials designed for energy-efficient windows, with the aim of ultimately reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. This funding validates AeroShield’s innovative approach and underscores the critical role of advanced materials in achieving a sustainable future. “We know that windows present a weak point in building efficiency. With this challenge, there is also an enormous opportunity to reduce heat losses from windows,” said ARPA-E Director Evelyn Wang. “ I look forward to following their progress and commitment to making residential and commercial buildings more energy efficient.” Learn more about AeroShield’s innovative approach and the award here: https://lnkd.in/gZsd6asT
