ICYMI: Cannes may be over, but the Adland is still buzzing with insights and debriefs on the groundbreaking work showcased at the festival this year. Ben Essen has shared some thoughts on how creativity thrives on reimagining the past, featured in his piece for Campaign. He states, "...all the ground-breaking Grand Prix winners contain recognisable fragments of great ideas that have come before." He continues, "A [better] question for any creative review is: "We know this worked before, so how do we twist it for a new context?" This lets us leverage the proven effectiveness of past campaigns while infusing them with contemporary relevance." Read his analysis and explore the trends and winning work that filled the Croisette conversation: https://lnkd.in/ecYZXVfn #CannesLions #Creativity #Adland

Culture and Creativity ! ! Perform Europe selects 42 partnership projects touring 63 sustainable performing arts works The Creative Europe action promoting sustainable touring in the performing arts sectors has awarded €2.1 million in grants. https://lnkd.in/eYswvKSK #business #innovation #cyprus #greece #pwccyprus In a world filled with uncertainty and turmoil, it is more important than ever to hold on to the things that ground us, give us meaning. One of those things is culture. Culture is the essence of who we are as a society, it is the traditions, customs, beliefs, and values that have been passed down through generations. Culture is what gives us a sense of belonging and connects us to our past, our present, and our future. It is what shapes our identity and gives us a sense of purpose. In times of crisis, culture can be a source of comfort, hope, and strength. It can remind us of the resilience and creativity of the human spirit, and inspire us to persevere and overcome any obstacles that come our way. - Furthermore, culture is a bridge that connects us to others, it allows us to understand and appreciate different perspectives, traditions, and ways of life. It fosters empathy and tolerance.

“Always under promise and over deliver” I remember a story from Krept that he spoke about when Krept and Konan were booking their first shows at very small venues; they would go above and beyond to put on the best shows the crowd had ever seen. They brought the sound system and energy like they had sold out Wembley and were outshining the headliners they supported every time. This was the catalyst for their meteoric rise in the 2010s. This story always stuck with me – how can I make every touch point with HB42 and Nyfty like my Wembley arena? Whether it is the super personal service, hand-written notes, the highest quality packaging that you wouldn’t expect, or the after-sales support and copious amounts of samples that we send out. I can imagine that many other leaders of small-businesses are guilty of this overdelivering sometimes. Are we neglecting our own boundaries to over-compensate for an actual lack of confidence in our own service/product? It all comes from a place of authenticity, but is this mentality sustainable? Or are you setting yourself up for failure in the long-run? Would love to know your thoughts?
