A corollary to this is that jobs involving judgment will remain highly valued like that of doctors, actuaries, etc One of the reasons I find the actuarial profession exciting is the continuous opportunity it provides to apply judgment. More so in the world where new risks emerge and data to quantify them follows much later. But what is judgment? Here’s a personal story: In my last corporate job, my boss Sameet Shah asked if I was good at making decisions. I replied that with all the required inputs, I could make good decisions. He then asked, "What’s the difference between you and a machine?" Judgment is making decisions even when you don't have all the information. #InsurTech #Actuarial
