In today's issue of "No Duh"... Remember that thing that we've seen coming and known is already here? It's here. The bad guys are using #AI in their #phishing attacks. If your people aren't ready, they WILL get fooled. You WILL lose data. If you don't have an internal phishing program that tests (phishes) your people at least monthly with creative and devious methods, you're doing your business a MAJOR disservice. My advice -- make sure your people know that the days of the misspellings and obvious mistakes in phishing emails is over. You now must have your brain engaged and look for context that doesn't make sense, emails that you wouldn't expect, and VERIFY before clicking if you're not sure. https://lnkd.in/eNMUieCq

The introduction of AI is making cyber attacks harder to spot. A good example of this is with phishing attacks, where cybercriminals are using AI to make their spam emails look even more convincing. These spam emails are looking more and more legit by the day, and are no doubt luring more people than ever to hand over their personal details. Just looking out for typos or unusual looking email addresses isn’t enough to spot a phishing attack anymore. You really need to implement proactive security, keep your teams trained on how to spot them and don’t be afraid to fight AI with AI! https://lnkd.in/ehzQN327
