‘Missed Birthdays’ with Campaign Against Living Miserably returns to share a true story of youth suicide. In partnership with ITV & the7stars, and funded by Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation, the second burst of the campaign centres around a young girl named Evelyn. Evelyn’s mum beautifully narrates the film, remembering her daughter’s beaming smile, kind heart and amazing hugs. The words form an emotional letter to Evelyn ahead of her 15th birthday. She never celebrated her 16th birthday. Evelyn is one of 6,929 young people who have taken their own life in the past decade. Echoing the first phase of Missed Birthdays, viewers are directed to the CALM C.A.R.E kit, an online resource and suite of practical tools that enable parents and trusted adults to play an active role in ending youth suicide. Incredible film. Just beautiful. I can't imagine how hard that VO recording must have been for Evelyn's mama ❤️🩹
Wow. How powerful, devastating and beautifully articulated. Seeing the individual stories behind the mamooth numbers makes this feel even more real. 💔
This has to be one of the most emotive and powerful campaigns I have ever watched.
