We asked our community, "What do you feel is the utmost crucial priority in bridging the industry skills gap?" A significant 47% voted for apprenticeship programmes, highlighting their essential role in preparing the future workforce. Career pathways and incentives followed with 35%, proving that long-term planning is also key in attracting talent. Innovation & new technologies garnered 12% of the votes, indicating a need for modernisation, and skilled worker retention was seen as critical by 6%, underscoring the ongoing challenge of keeping experienced workers engaged.
