Importance Of Email Marketing In Recruitment Email marketing is an accessible tool for recruitment agencies, assisting the finding of potential candidates. Making it one of the strategies that generates significantly higher ROI. Tips For Writing Effective Recruiting Emails: Effective email marketing focuses on being relatable to the audience. So, we take you through parameters that will help you create content that resonates with your prospects. Know Your Prospective Clientele: Before you start drafting your recruiting email, it’s essential that you know your audience well. Once you have a clear idea about the prospects’ likes and dislikes, it will become simpler for recruitment agencies to craft emails that align with prospects’ motivation and inspiration. Pay More Attention To The Subject Line: The first thing that comes to the Job seeker’s attention is the subject line of the email. Therefore, it is essential to put more thought into it and make it attention-grabbing. It should be short and simple. Highlight The Benefits Of Your Services: Emphasizing the benefits that can be achieved when an employee joins a particular organization goes a long way. Recruitment agencies should either mention the benefits updates, change management procedures, crisis communication plan updates, and training program announcements in the email or link them to the organization’s knowledge base. Attention Grabbing Call-To-Action Button: Linking your email to a clear call-to-action button is absolutely necessary. It could be a link for applying for a job, or it could be for scheduling a call or a meeting. The technical functionality of the call-to-action button should be streamlined. What Are The Elements Of Successful Email Writing? Now that we have covered up essential tips about writing email marketing campaigns, it is time to focus on key elements that make a recruiting email stand out. Let’s find out what are those key elements: Header And Greetings: An email looks better with a proper header, which, when followed by a proper greeting with the right recipient’s name makes a positive impact. This particular personalized touch shows that your organization has done the require research. Idyllic Introduction: The introduction should be concise. It should contain only a few specific information – i.e., introduce yourself, your organization, why you are reaching out, and the benefits of your services. Body: This is where you explain in-depth the benefits of your services. Over here, make sure the tone is conversational and persuasive. It will keep the reader engaged to go through the entire email. Call-To-Action: The importance of CTAs can’t be stressed enough. That’s why always keep an impressive CTA to keep readers informed about the next step. Signature: Conclude your email with a proper signature that includes your name, job title, organization’s phone number, and email ID.

Lots of staffing & recruiting companies are under looking these KPIs when it comes to email marketing. Anyone can write an email and press send, but not everyone has the systems built out to be able to do these👇 1) Fast Reply Speed - Aim for under 10 minutes, we have a slack channel built seperate for replies for each client and our inbox manager gets a notification when we get a reply. This combined with reply templates built out allow us to have reply times of under 10 minutes. 2) Maximising Lead List Size - Running out of leads to target quickly? Most likely because you’re ONLY using Apollo or ONLY 1 other prospect list building software. Fun fact, Apollo hides a lot of it’s leads from searches within Apollo, the way to get around this is to import company names you’ve got from another software specialised for your industry into Apollo, and from there you can find decision makers. Also, keyword filtering > industry filtering. This is because lots of for example staffing & recruiting companies will be listed under Management Consulting and Hospitality. 3) Lots Of Small Deliverability Changes That Make A Big Difference If All Used - These include randomising campaign settings, letting your email campaign software auto adjust warm ups, ESP matching and more… 4) Access To A Good Network - This is VERY under looked, using Google or ChatGPT to answer your email marketing questions is barely going to help. You need someone in your personal network that can help you with every problem you may encounter. For example a deliverability expert, a lead list building expert, and a script writing expert. 5) Finding Ways To Differentiate - A software that I have only seen ONE staffing & recruiting company use is Clay . They’ve received a recent funding of $46 million and use AI, I think we can predict they’ll be massive in the future. The best time to use it is now whilst no one is.

Today, we're going to dive into the secret sauce of killer recruiting marketing: email. When done right, it's like finding a unicorn candidate - rare and absolutely magical for your business growth. But here's the kicker: most recruiters handle email marketing about as gracefully as an elephant on ice skates. I used to think people were just being lazy (shame on past me!), but I've seen the light. Email marketing is an absolute beast, with every step ready to trip you up if you're not careful. But don't worry! We're about to embark on an epic quest through the email marketing realm, starting with list building. Before thinking about crafting a newsletter that'll knock socks off, you need people to send it to. Luckily, recruiters have two solid options for building their list: 1. The Lead Magnet: Your Golden Ticket to Email Address Heaven If you have people coming to your website through search or a big social media following, the lead magnet is your new best friend. Simply put, a lead magnet is a valuable piece of content you offer for free in exchange for someone's email address. The idea is to provide something so valuable that visitors will hand over their email to get it. It's a win-win: they get valuable info, and you get a new contact for your mailing list. Now, pay attention to these two points: 1. We've experimented with more lead magnets than a mad scientist, and I'm here to tell you - the salary guide is the winner. It is the only giveaway that consistently piques the curiosity of candidates and clients to such an extent that they are willing to part ways with their valuable contact information. With salary guides, you can go for a one-size-fits-all approach, or get fancy with guides for different practice areas. Just make sure to ask if they're a candidate or client when they sign up - trust me, future you will thank present you for this foresight. 2. If you're in the land of the free and home of the brave (aka the USA), you can legally add lead magnet subscribers straight to your newsletter list. But if you're elsewhere, you might need to add an opt-in checkbox that basically asks, "Want to hear more from us?" Obviously, this checkbox will not be checked that frequently and you'll need a large flow of traffic to your site if the primary purpose of your lead magnet is to capture emails for a future newsletter. Tomorrow, we'll tackle option 2 - The Slow Build: Rome Wasn't Built in a Day, and Neither Is Your Email List

Email marketing is tough. You're fighting for attention in crowded inboxes. How do you stand out? A/B testing your subject lines is key. Here's 6 places to start: 1. You vs. Me Test talking directly to your reader ("You can increase your sales") against sharing your own experience ("I increased my sales"). See what grabs them. 2. Short vs. Long Some folks like it short and sweet ("Boost Sales Now!"). Others want more info ("How to significantly boost your sales today"). Find out what your audience prefers. 3. Questions vs. Statements Asking a question ("Need to increase your sales?") can spark curiosity. A statement ("Increase your sales today") is clear and direct. Which works better? 4. Mystery vs. Clear Try a mysterious tone ("Discover the secret to more sales") against being straight-up ("Here's how to get more sales"). What gets more clicks? 5. Casual vs. Formal Does your audience like a casual vibe ("Unlock your potential") or something more formal ("Unlock Your Potential")? Test and learn. 6. Emojis or Not Emojis can make your subject line pop (" Boost your sales!") or feel too casual. No emojis might seem more professional. What does your audience think? Just Start Testing These tests are easy to set up. The trick is to keep trying new things. What works today might not tomorrow. Keep it simple. Test one thing at a time. Learn what your readers like.

Lead generation. Cold outreach. Email marketing. They're all dying a slow and steady death. So sorry. But there is a caveat... Since 2014 spam has been overwhelming our inboxes and numbing our minds to the offers of people and businesses trying to sell to us. "Hello, we are great, you need to work with us, we sell products/services X, Y, Z. Let's have a meeting where we can talk at you non stop about how great we are and why you need to spend money with us!" This type of outreach has been dying for years and it's only going to get worse. Almost every B2B business owner I speak to, that's invested into sales in the past, tells me the same story. "I spent a bunch of money on some sales experts, the ROI was terrible and now I've little to no confidence left." But why is this happening? Because 90% of sales experts are using tactics first implemented 20-30 years ago. Here's the caveat: Lead generation, cold outreach, email marketing is dying, but only for those who are still embracing the old school mindset of trying to sell in the first conversation. People. Hate. Spam. And they don't trust spammers. Unfortunately, for those of you wanting a get rich quick scheme with minimal investment and minimal risk, you're also going to go the way of the dodo. If one of your customers are worth upwards of £/$50k over 2-3 years, do you really, honestly think you can get that kind of revenue increase by just investing 2-3k and waiting a few months for miracles to happen? Get rich quick schemes don't work. Neither does trying to sell in the first conversation (beyond one off flukes) In the next 5-10 years cold outreach will be replaced by warm outreach. This is the method of reaching out to build a relationship, not reaching out to sell. For those people, lead generation, cold outreach and email marketing will work wonders for their business and revenue if they can adopt the mindset of bigger, more successful companies and measure revenue growth yearly instead of monthly/quarterly. Ask yourself, when did you last reply positively to a cold spammy email and then spend money with them..?

Two ways to get IMMEDIATE results with Email Marketing. 💰 No need for complex setups! Just add these strategies to what you already have. 🤓 1️⃣ APPOINTMENT REMINDERS Whoever books a meeting with you receives email reminders. They usually contain brief info about the day and time and the Zoom link. Take advantage of those emails that go out anyway and use them to: ✅ Create anticipation: explain how this meeting will change their business. ✅ Send them some content to consume to prepare for the meeting (testimonials, case studies, anything that can make them familiar with the brand). ✅ Add some FOMO: explain what they miss if they don’t show. ➤ RESULT: you will lower the no-show rate, and people will be more prepared and excited about talking to you. 2️⃣ WELCOME SEQUENCE New subscribers deserve more than “Welcome to the Acme family. We will email you once per week. Please add us to your contact list.” 😅 When someone subscribes, you are on top of their mind. 😍 They just saw your website or read a post on social media, and whatever they saw caught their interest. Giving out their email is a big deal. Make sure to earn their trust and keep them engaged. 😎 🟢 Email 1: this is the very first impression, don’t waste it. Tell them something funny and “on brand” about you that will make them think, “Oh, cool, I look forward to the next email. 🟢 Email 2: Give before asking. In fact, just give. Send a quick solution to a problem that haunts them. 🟢 Email 3: Get to know them. Ask questions and reply ASAP. This is how you build a relationship. **If you have a team dedicated to replies, educate them on the importance of keeping the conversation active with subscribers.** ➤ RESULT: by the 4th email, they will already know you and will be much more willing to open your emails and engage. Happy sending!
