Candidates! The end of year is not the easiest to identify that awesome job but, those who are hiring are very serious. You’ll see a ton of advice about navigating the market. A ton of it is bs from those who think they control the situation so two things I think you can do to take control: 1. Always - ALWAYS - ask if there is an internal candidate and if so, what would an external candidate bring that the internal candidate won’t based on the needs of the position. If you get a bs answer, withdraw. 2. Contact someone who recently left the organization and department and ask why they left. They’ll likely be very honest. Don’t be made to feel like it’s some privilege to talk to a company. You’re the rockstar - rock. #opentowork #takecontrol #cutthroughthebs
