End of an era. Start of a reflection. Yesterday evening, I walked out of this office for the final time. It’s been my professional home for the last decade—an office where our team didn’t just work, but built. This space has seen us grow from $1 billion to $6 billion in transactions, adding incredible talent to our team along the way. It’s where countless deals were closed, countless lessons were learned, and where we pushed ourselves—and each other—to deliver meaningful outcomes. Periods of professional life don’t always feel like clean chapters. More often, they’re a rush—a relentless drive to get deals done and move forward. But standing here today, it’s impossible not to pause and appreciate how far we’ve come. While we won’t officially move into our new consolidated downtown Chicago office until January, today feels like both an ending and a beginning. To everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you. I’m filled with gratitude for what we’ve achieved together and energized by what comes next. Here’s to the next chapter. Four Hands Expands Footprint in Austin: Already one of the region’s largest industrial tenants, with over 1.1 million square feet of space in South Austin and Buda, Four Hands continues to shape the region’s economic landscape. With 350 local employees and $592 million in global revenue, the company is a key contributor to Austin’s position as a leader in business and design. Their recent 20,000-square-foot lease at Eastbound in East Austin will accommodate a growing workforce and further cement their commitment to the region. IMPORTANT - Black People of High Incomes have FAILED the Black Under Class (as a group)! Hi Raymond McGuire (President of Lazard - Investment Bank) High income Black Americans are the ONLY group in America that judges it’s success by how successful it’s able to separate itself from its underclass (in the eyes of other racial groups in America). By the way, great photo of you and your “peers”. Yes, I agree high income Black people have been VERY successful in NYC (and across America). However the overwhelming majority of Black people in NYC are: 1 - on some sort of government welfare (food stamps, housing, vouchers, child care, healthcare, etc). 2 - working at low wage jobs (annual incomes of less than $40,000). 3 - high school dropouts. 4 - lack a college education. 5 - have children attending low performing public schools. 6 - have family members on probation/parole or in jail/prison. I think before [ high income Black people ] in NYC [ pat themself ] on the back, they should look down at the majority of the Black people in NYC. While looking down, ask yourself the question: What have I done to help FREE my people (i.e.: Black people) from economic despair? How have you every used your [ vast wealth ] to help create jobs for Black people in the under class? By the way, the answer is NOT financially supporting the Studio Museum in Harlem. We NEED more [ Black Republicans ] like YOU to invest in Black businesses in Black communities in America.
