Have you heard of Seafarers Earnings Deduction (SED)? Last week I had a meeting with a new client who works offshore. His job takes him all over the world and this week he is jetting off to Taiwan. As he qualifies for SED, he is exempt from paying income tax on overseas earnings. This means he can claim 100% tax relief on the amount he earns. Result. He has built up significant savings and investments and wanted advice going forward as he felt like he did not have a strategy when investing. Some key benefits: → I have restructured his investments to save him even more tax. → He will now receive ongoing, face-to-face advice. → Having outsourced his financial administration he will spend less time on his finances and more time on what he enjoys. To top off a great week, I was invited to The Scottish Malt Whisky Society by David Benjamin on Friday. I ended up joining for a year. A great new venue to meet clients... Whisky tasting pending.
hey Adam Tweedie, let me know if you would be interested in coming along to my whisky networking event sometime: 168 Whisky Club
