Even though heat stress adversely impacts a growing proportion of individuals in India, their heat-related lived experiences are largely unknown. Through focus group discussions, we discover how individuals are adapting, and the challenges they face as their environment grows increasingly inhospitable. Participants showed a clear preference for nature-based solutions. This is in contrast with the current design of most heat action plans in India, which put more emphasis on infrastructure, information dissemination and behavioral solutions. https://lnkd.in/gsZGX3Wt

'Modi Way: Dignity, Connectivity, Prosperity' The Direct Benefit Transfer approach, along with focus on creation of physical & digital public infrastructure & unleashing the potential of free enterprise to create opportunities for our people have lifted millions out of poverty, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi Ji. This is in sharp contrast to those who are claiming to remove poverty through mere sloganeering & empty promises. My piece in today's The Times Of India

NTPC Limited #IndiaOfMyDreams #NTPCRepublicDayContest In the chase for a spectacular dream life, most of us have been dragged into hectic schedules and energy-draining work shifts, all of which can take a serious toll on our health and happiness. Technically, this leaves hardly any time to unwind, let alone taking time out for exercise. Even, sparing a few minutes towards developing the right health and mind seems like a grueling challenge. It is alarming to know that India is the world's suicide capital with over 2.6 lakh cases of suicide in a year. Hence, I dream of Bharat as a place free from Mental anxiety and disorders. A place where people appreciate and celebrate others progress instead of getting jealous of others progress and prosperity. A place where people do not compete but with their own achievements each year. Just imagine why our great grandfathers were happier in older days despite having so less amenities as we have today. There was not even electricity or any modern medical treatment. Mental health is a byproduct of your life which is full of gratitude and satisfaction and your spiritual upbringing. If your lifestyle incorporates these aspects in life, then one can easily face any kinds of challenges or problems in life without getting distressed. The place where even animals and plants are worshipped and given importance just as any person. The place where people are loved, and things are used instead of vice versa. I dream of India where Villages flourish, farmers prosper and do not think of running towards cities for livelihood. A place where village kids feel confident to study amidst the nature and acquire the same knowledge and skills which city kids have access to. I dream of India which is again renamed as “Sone ki Chidiya” by imbibing self-sustainable model. The place where every Indian feels fortunate to be born and live instead of running towards other western countries. The place where there are no beggars and every Indian feels a part of Family called INDIA (BHARAT).

On October 2nd, the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) celebrated its 10th anniversary! As we progress through Phase 2 of Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0 (SBM-U 2.0), also known as the Clean India Mission, the focus is on making urban India garbage-free, with a strong emphasis on dumpsite remediation. It feels great to have contributed to the documentary aired yesterday, highlighting these crucial efforts on how Indian cities are treating their legacy waste. Our goal must be to transition from landfills to zero landfills, focusing on treatment rather than remediation. This shift will not only improve waste management but also foster sustainable urban environments. #SwachhBharatMission #SBMU2 #LandfillRemediation #SustainableCities

Very good thought provoking post shared by Arun ji. My take on it- Basically as Congress is established by Britishers as their hand to manage our society & feel that as if we are getting managed by our own people. Therefore, Congress was having no compassion in its mind about poors, before as well as after Independence. Only they wanted to show poors in their Slogans of Garibi Hatao. But they are least bothered about any citizen of Bharat, not only poor. Presently, may people curse Modiji, as he is feeding 80 cr poors through freebies, let it be. Doesn't matter. Today in present situation, there is no alternative to this. At least, some of the youngers from these families will come up, get educated & do something better & in next five years. Challengingly I can say, at least 30 to 40 cr will rise up from this situation & in next ten years nearly all will rise up, conditioned that you stop infiltrations, conversions & producing peacefuls in unwarranted quantity. Otherwise, new 40 cr will be ready with katora in hand, whats the fate otherwise???

People have forgotten the UPA (INDI) era. In 2012, after six decades of CONgress rule, India was desperate—children digging through cow dung for seeds, a poster child of infant death, malnutrition, and starvation. Modi flipped that narrative, turning India into a bright spot and tackling poverty head-on. Yet liberals mock him for providing nutrition and free healthcare to all citizens. Let's not forget, Manmohan Singh himself admitted in 2013 that he had no solution for 800M starving Indians. But today, Rahul Gandhi’s "Khatakat and Mohabbat Ki Dukan" supporters want to drag us back to that misery.
