Still excited about the AFEX Impact Report. The results we see on farmer livelihoods and resilience speak for itself and deserve the attention. I believe the methodology and dataset is worth celebrating too. We defined the methodology in 2019, I was still just a #friendofAFEX at that time. Defining a Theory of Change, leveraging internationally developed tools such as PPI and FIES, finding a way to have a credible control group, training many enumerators. Since 2020, we have repeated our farmer surveys annually, and I believe we have one of the most extensive datasets on poverty, food security and sustainability in the industry. Initially just for Nigeria, but this year we were able to include Kenya as well, with other producing countries added every year. Many have contributed to impact measurement and reporting in AFEX, you know who you are! But allow me to give credit to one person, who has been a consistent driving force. Farhat Kunmi-Olayiwola, great job on impact data collection, analysis, storytelling and more. You were there from the start, and you have taken this to its next level. Mohamoud's business faced significant challenges due to milk spoilage before refrigeration solutions were introduced. Now, thanks to initiatives led by GIZ, Mohamoud proudly reports an increased income. Through the establishment of 'cooling hubs' and 'milk markets,' GIZ is revolutionising the dairy industry in Somaliland, benefiting not only Mohamoud but also countless other women entrepreneurs. #ADBNews: In 2023, ADB committed $2.6 billion in sovereign lending to India for key projects focusing on urban development, industrial corridor development, power sector reforms, climate resilience, horticulture, and connectivity. Additionally, ADB provided $23.53 million in technical assistance and $4.1 million in grants. Moreover, over $1 billion was allocated for private sector projects during the year.
