Momentum Awards #BTS 🦾
This was my 4x time leading the marketing operations for the awards show, including brand, creative, content, and experience. I’m extremely grateful for the 6-month sprint my Marketing Team and I undertook to execute those aspects of this event: Robbie Shinder, Sierra Garcia, Emilie Seda, Carlynn Y., Julia Gordon, and Beck Utigard.
We hit 3 objectives 👇
🌀 Brand Update Launch: We unveiled a refreshed brand identity for the Momentum Awards, aligning our visual and messaging strategies with the spirit of Chicago’s tech ecosystem. This included updates to our logo, colors, and iconography.
🌀 Event Narrative Launch: We boldly restructured the narrative of the awards throughout all campaign phases—including sponsorship, nominations, voting, ticketing, day-of-event, and post-event—to educate about the awards, their significance to our tech community through stories, and the role of the awards in funding our 501(c)(3) mission.
🌀 Diverse Content Strategies: We created more personalized content, tailored to specific channels—web, social media, email, #AR, and experiential events—to authentically share the stories of our tech community, finalists, and winners.
From the initial concept to the final production, our goal was to craft a 6-phase event that not only celebrated our winners but also highlighted the innovation, resilience, and energy that makes #ChicagoTech so extraordinary.

• Increased community engagement

🌟 Sustainability - event managers will be doing more to manage the carbon footprint and environmental impact of their events, prioritising suppliers & venues that do the same.
🌟 Content creation - utilising the power of events bringing people together to create reusable content on site especially short form video and UGC marketing.
🌟 Community building - community marketing is big value if done right & events are a sure fire way to bring communities together and nurture them.
🌟 Data driven personalisation - there is so much data that can be collected from events, use this to better create the attendees experience both before, during & after and make it even more memorable.

🙅🏼♀️ 'Cookie cutter' trade shows - it's time to mix up the formats, content strategies & on site opportunities.
🙅🏼♀️ Not having a DEI strategy - theres no more excuses for a lack of diversity in content line ups or non-inclusive event design.
🙅🏼♀️ Content prioritised over networking (in person) - a key factor in attending in person events is for connection with other people. Only having passive networking during lunch no longer meets attendees wants, you need to create opportunities for them to connect.

Taking a moment to reflect on an extraordinary journey that unfolded at the Youth Speak Forum in Tangier, meticulously organized by AIESEC.
In the heart of the action, I served as the Marketing Manager on the OC Team,
Conceptualizing and directing engaging promo videos featuring the incredible acting talents of @hajar.
- Collaborating closely with @ismail, our skilled editor and videographer, to bring our visions to life on screen.
- Designing captivating marketing materials that seamlessly blended creativity with purpose.
- Leveraging strategic partnerships with speakers and sponsors to enhance the event's impact and reach.
- Immersing myself in the event's atmosphere, capturing its essence through captivating stories and videos.
- Synergizing with photographers and cameramen to ensure every moment was immortalized with finesse.
Witnessing the surge in registrations fueled my passion and reaffirmed the power of strategic marketing.
Yet, behind the scenes, there were countless moving parts to orchestrate. Designing marketing materials that seamlessly blended creativity with purpose, ensuring every aspect of the event exuded professionalism and allure.
Engaging with speakers, each a luminary in their own right, was an opportunity to forge connections and glean insights that would enrich our program.
Navigating the delicate balance between showcasing their brands and honoring our event's ethos required finesse and diplomacy, but the end result was a testament to the strength of our partnerships.
As the event unfolded, I found myself at the epicenter of the action, capturing moments that would later weave into the fabric of our narrative. From behind the lens to the drawing board, collaborating with photographers and cameramen to immortalize the magic unfolding before us.
Yet, amidst the whirlwind of activity, there were inevitable challenges to surmount. But it was here that I discovered the true measure of leadership – the ability to stay calm in the face of adversity, to navigate obstacles with grace and resilience.
Every setback became an opportunity for growth, every problem a puzzle to solve.
And so, as the dust settles and the echoes of success reverberate, I find myself humbled by the journey and grateful for the lessons learned.
Another milestone achieved, but my appetite for challenge and growth remains insatiable.
Gratitude to our esteemed speakers Achraf banoui and KWYASSE Zakaria and Ilias Hamid, Mohammed yaser Jebbar, for accepting our invitation and sharing their invaluable insights at the Youth Speak Forum in Tangier.

Exciting project that I’ve been working on! ✨
Since October 2023, I’ve had the opportunity to work as the Content Marketer & Project Manager at The Marketing Collectiv. Lately, we’ve been working on something super exciting: launching our new label, The Talent Collectiv, which offers customized marketing trainings & workshops for teams of scale-ups and corporates.
I’ve really loved this project because it let me do everything from start to finish with so much responsibility, combining organizational and creative skills! I got to:
- Create the branding for The Talent Collectiv
- Develop and execute the social media strategy
- Build and optimize the website
- Create and execute PR activities
- Strategize the launch
- Design all materials
- Implement email marketing
- Organize the launch event
Thanks June Nauta, for giving me the chance to take charge without having years of experience. Just by doing it, I learned a lot, which taught me so much about how to build a brand.

I need to confess I have been surprised by the speech from THE Marc Pritchard from P&G.
The pitch was: What is your favorite brand? Does this brand’s creativity connect with you through ideas that are so mind-opening you say, “I never thought about it that way”? In this keynote, be inspired by how insights can be found in everyday moments and creatively transformed into meaningful, fascinating, and even surprising ways that unlock growth.
In reality, it was all about getting inspiration from the new realities of the consumers/people: "Every moments are rich with creative potential"
If you think about the number of opprtunities you can have been creative based on billions of moments and billions of people... Occasion based marketing is the new benchmark!!! captured in these 3 guidances:
1/ find everyday moments that matter ; human moments matters
2/ find how your brand can help day2day
3/ and find the magic to make those moments matter more.
Marc Pritchard shared some great illustrations/campaigns like « Wash your hand and eat » Safeguard in China, «Share the load » Ariel in India, and Head &shoulders « I don’t (have dandruff)».
