❗ Want to work in Sports? ❗ Here is the most important tip after you've scheduled a networking call. 👇 Make sure you prepare! How do you do that? ❕ Look at the background, job history, and the moves that they have made. ⭐ Think about questions that are specifically related to the person you are going to be meeting with. ❕ Go into that call with 3-6 questions you specifically want to know about that person. ⭐ This will show that you've done your homework. ❔ What went into some of the decisions that they made going from one team to another? ❔ What were some things that surprised them when they took on XYZ's role? ❔ What experiences helped prepare them the most? Going above and beyond isn't hard with these. You just need to put in the time and effort! Hope this helps! #SportsBiz #NetworkingAdvice

Have you ever had a moment that unexpectedly steered your life in a completely new direction? For me, it was a hot September morning, a two-hour drive, and a weekend that changed everything. Back in my college days, "marketing" was just a word with a vague meaning. But a short-term gig, initially taken up for some extra cash, opened my eyes to a world that was never even on my radar. The job? Promoting the NHL's 100 Year Anniversary. I remember vividly the excitement at the Capitals and Penguins game, surrounded by enthusiastic fans and curious onlookers. It wasn't just about posters and pamphlets; it was about creating an experience. From custom-designed trailers to flatscreens showcasing historic moments, and photobooths capturing the joy of fans with the Stanley Cup, I saw the heart of marketing. It was about storytelling, engaging, and sharing a brand's passion with the world. This experience was more than a job; it was a revelation. Marketing wasn't just a career path; it became a passion. It led me to pursue more event marketing opportunities, continually learning and growing in the field, eventually moving up into leadership roles. Today, I look back at that weekend as the starting point of my journey in marketing. A journey that taught me the power of a well-told story and the impact of truly connecting with an audience. It's a path I continue to explore with excitement every day. To those just starting or considering a shift in their career: keep your eyes open for those unexpected opportunities. They might lead you to your passion. #Marketing #CareerJourney #BrandEngagement

In a world that moves at lightning speed, the adage 'Availability is the greatest ability' has never been more true. Here are three reasons why- Opportunity Embracement: Being available means being ready to seize opportunities the moment they arise. In the dynamic landscape of business, opportunities are fleeting. Your ability to be present and ready can make the difference between capitalizing on a moment and missing out. Reliability Building: Availability fosters trust and reliability in professional relationships. When colleagues, clients, and partners know they can count on you to be there when needed, you become a go-to person in your network, enhancing your reputation and value. Growth and Learning: Being available opens the door to new experiences, challenges, and learning opportunities. It positions you in situations where you can stretch your capabilities, learn from others, and gain insights that are unattainable through any other means. “Availability isn't just about being physically present; it's about being ready to engage, contribute, and grow. It's a powerful ability that can set the stage for success in any career." #mojomakers #leadershiptraining

The 9 to 5 Personal Branding Gal💕| #1 Aussie Personal Branding Creator | Personal Branding Strategy Consultant
I applied for a job I was seriously under-qualified for and got it. Here's how.👇🏼 The biggest secret was having a personal brand. I was up against other applicants who had far more experience than myself, but instead of letting this hold me back, I leveraged what made me stand out. And it paid off. 🚨Here's how a personal brand can help you land a job🚨 💡It makes you memorable (not that many people do it) 💡You're up-skilling as you go e.g. leadership, communication, content creation 💡It's a tangible extension to your resumé (like a portfolio) 💡Through networking, you can build rapport with the right connections (you might even land on the feed of your next boss) A personal brand could land you your dream job - so what's holding you back?!

In my professional journey, I've come to embody the adage, 'A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one.' And while some may see my versatility as a limitation, I've found it to be my greatest asset. My career has been defined by a diverse array of skills and experiences, spanning strategic communication, content creation, sales, customer service, leadership, and more. Rather than specializing in one area, I've embraced the opportunity to explore and excel in multiple domains. This multidimensional approach has allowed me to tackle challenges with agility and creativity. Whether it's adapting to new roles, navigating complex projects, or finding innovative solutions, my ability to draw from a broad skill set has been key to my success. Moreover, my diverse background has fostered a holistic perspective and a willingness to embrace new ideas. Instead of being confined by the constraints of specialization, I've embraced the freedom of exploration and discovery, constantly seeking out new opportunities for growth and learning. So, while I may not fit the traditional mold of a 'master of one,' I firmly believe that my versatility has been the driving force behind my achievements. In a world that demands adaptability and innovation, being a 'jack of all trades' has allowed me to thrive and make meaningful contributions in diverse contexts. Are you also a 'jack of all trades'? Let me know in the comments. I would love to meet you. My name is Adesola Amoo, I am a multipotential (multipod) professional, navigating different career paths simultaneously and actually loving it. I invite you to follow my journey on here. #multipotential #professionaljourney #jackofalltrades

Keynote Speaker | Leadership Trainer | Inclusion Consultant | CEO @ Desa Global Leadership | Inspiring diverse professionals to find voice & visibility at work
I recently came across this image, and it really resonated with me. Too often we underestimate the impact we have. I'd also add one more to this list: It matters what I say. The words we choose, especially in professional settings, can have a powerful impact. Whether in meetings, emails, or presentations, we can inspire, motivate, and influence others….or have the opposite effect. For example, speaking up in meetings can shape how you are perceived and create a lasting impression that'll keep you top of mind for promotions & new opportunities. So, what are you waiting for? Start showcasing the awesomeness that is you! Would you add any to the list?
