If you are working from home and find it difficult to stop working even after office hours, chances are you’re a workaholic. No, that is not always true. It might simply be due to your environment or workspace. Every space in your home serves a purpose: the kitchen is for cooking, the bedroom is for sleeping, and the living room is for relaxing or hosting guests. Your patio or balcony is where you unwind or spend time with loved ones. Each area brings its own vibe, mood, and activity. When you work from places like the couch, sofa, or dining table, your mind associates these spaces with relaxation and free time, making it harder to switch off from work. There is no clear division between the end of work time and beginning of personal time. In contrast, when you work from office, you start to mentally wind down once the workday ends.
